All right, starting off with the basics.
We are [F#] in standard tuning with a capo here on [C#] the second fret
All right, starting off with chords.
We have an [Bm] a minor a _ [D] C major a
_ _ [A] G major _ _ and a D [E] major
_ _ Right on to strumming [N] patterns.
I have a few that I'm going to show you we're gonna start off with the intro strumming pattern
So we have down down up up down up
_ _ Just to give you a little bit of an idea I'll play with the [Bm] a minor _ _ _ _
_ _ _ Now the verse [N] pattern is gonna make it a little bit more interesting
So we have a little bit of palm muting in there.
[Bm] So our pattern is going to be up _
[F#] Mute mute and use the side of your palm and just hit [D] down on the strings mute [Bm] mute and then go down
So we just have up
mute mute down

_ _ _ _ _ [F] _
_ _ [A#] _ _ [D] You mute So
_ _ [Bm] _ _ _
_ _ [D] _ _ _ [G] _
[A] _ _ _ [A#] _ _ _

Now our last [C#] pattern for the bridge
It's actually our [G] easiest strumming pattern because we're just gonna do a [Bm] simple single down strum _
[G] All right, so that's it for chords and for strumming now before we actually get into the [F#] song
