[Am]
I just make [E] music based off of how I feel at the time.
[Am] Just like how someone can write a song and feel a certain way, I'm just making music
based off of how I feel and a feeling I want to put out there.
[F] When I was making the beat, Purp was like, oh, this shit's so hard, this shit's so hard.
Right when I was done, he went in the booth and made the song.
We got a hit.
[C] I just shot the fin [Ab] at Jack, reach for what?
Not no C.
Little Purp and hide the mask.
Yeah, these verses worth the brick.
And she know that I got hoes.
But shit still gon' suck my dick.
Only diamonds on my neck.
Got the flu, bitch, I'm [F] full.
So we went to the studio and there was a bunch of people.
We had some girls, a bunch of people in the studio.
Everyone was vibing, we were playing music and shit.
And I was like, fuck it.
And I just pulled up a sample, chopped it up, and then just started adding drums.
Everyone was like, oh, this shit's hard, this shit's hard.
He went in the booth and told the engineer to mute the beat and not play it.
So everyone was like-
Nah, I told him to mute it all out so nobody could hear.
So no one could hear.
Yeah, so everyone was talking and conversating and partying in the studio and shit.
And then he was recording it in the booth the whole time.
And then he just came out and [Gb] played it and everyone [Bb] lost their mind.
It was just hitting hard.
It wasn't an overdone [Bb] beat.
So it was just the perfect beat.
And it just matched my style.
[Abm] My buddy Rasul, he found the sample and flipped it in the studio.
So this is the sample.
[E]
[Am]
[B]
[Am]
He [G] chopped it up and reversed it into [D] this.
And right when I heard that, I'm like, whoa.
Pulled that shit up and [N] then I just fucked it up.
[Eb]
The way I did the drums is normally how I do all my drums.
I have all the percussion and the different hi-hats hitting at different times to fill
in the beat.
Pretty simple.
The beginning of the drums is just
It's on different timing than people would normally use it.
All the drums are like, the way I did them is I did them all kind of offset.
So if you hear the drums soloed, it just sounds maybe off to an average listener.
But then all together, it all just catches itself.
And then I have this hi-hat.
They're kind of skipping.
[N]
Let me write a chant.
The 808s in this beat is obviously more like it's riding, it's going crazy.
It's not just a simple [Ab] pattern.
If you were just to play the 808, you probably couldn't catch a groove to it.
But then when you're playing it with everything, it just sounds like fire.
[Abm] At [Gb] the beginning of the verse, I took out some of the drums because it adds more suspense
for when the [Gb] verse comes in.
[Eb] [Db]
[Gb] It's a little two bar break and then the drums drop in at the beginning of the verse.
I feel like that gets people [N] amped and wants to watch it shows and stuff.
One, two, three, yeah.
I just want the beat.
Okay, four, five, six, seven, eight.
We posted the snippet when we first made it.
It went viral on the internet.
So when I was playing it on the road and stuff, [Gb] everyone already knew it.
I've never had that happen to any of the other songs.
Let's open that jack, we gon' work.
His beats are fire and they're not overdoing it.
There's a lot of producers that overdo shit.
I think it's more about just making sure it sounds good and shit like that.
It's just a very aggressive song.
I want people to watch it.
These clubs [Gb] that people don't [F] watch shit when you hear [B] the song.
When he be making beats like shit be falling off tables and shit, I be like, what the fuck?
Shit be falling off tables, cups be spilling.
I be like, what the fuck is going on?
