How did you come to write that?
There's a little town up in Kentucky there named Twin Stones Junction.
And this is, some lady come to our show and she was from that country up there.
And I thought, well, that would give me a good name for an instrumental number.
So I just picked this number up and was working on it.
And I thought that would be a good number to call it that title.
[E] I would like to say that we are honored tonight to have Bill Monroe.
He is a great musician.
He's the kind of person who loves his admirers and his fans.
[G] I think he represents all that's finest in country music [N] and in our country.
Thank you, Bill Monroe, for being here with Doc Watson.
[A]
An old time [G] fiddle number.
And we haven't played this in quite a while, but it's called Petty on the Turnpike.
Is that right?
Yeah, that's it.
Okay.
I've enjoyed this a lot, Doc.
And I think we should get together more [F] often and we'd practice a lot.
I do too, Bill.
I'd love to pick a [G] whole bunch more with you.
