Soldier's Joy - Roland White, mandolin - Celebrating Bill Monroe's Birthday chords
Start Jamming...
Hello, my name is Roland White and today we're celebrating Gilman Rowe's birthday which falls on this coming September 13th on a Sunday, this Sunday.
He would have been 98 years old and the tune I chose to play was one of his favorite tunes and my dad's also, that is called Soldier's Joy.
When working for him back in 67, 68 and 69, he would play this often and I would request it.
This was on the bus while traveling and some of this is his arrangement and some of it's kind of my dad's arrangement of it too, a little bit of both.
And some of it is mine.
So we hope [C] you enjoy it and Diane and I had a good [D] time doing this for you.
Thank you.
