Hey guys, welcome back again to Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, where the proof is in the singing.
I decided to take on another Creedence tune.
This time I chose Travelin' Band, and obviously the singer is John Fogerty.
But I chose it because he's just a master belter, and I wanted to talk to you guys a
little bit more about that.
So Travelin' Band, John Fogerty, Creedence Clearwater, let's rock!
Here we go!

[F#]
[B]
[F#] Travelin' Band, yeah, [C#] when I fly across the [B] land, tryin' to get [C#] ahead, playin' in a [F#] Travelin'
Band.
Take me to a hotel, baby, it's goin' nowhere.
Tell her, come on, won't you give me to the [B] room I wanna move in?
Playin' in a [F#] Travelin' Band, yeah, [C#] when I fly across the [B] land, tryin' to get [C#] ahead,
playin' in a Travelin' Band.
[F#] Listen to the radio, talkin' about the last show, someone got excited and they called
a game of this, [B] you wanna move?
Playin' in a [F#] Travelin' Band, yeah, [C#] when I fly across the [B] land, tryin' to get [C#] ahead,
playin' in a [F#] Travelin' Band.
Wow!

[F#] [B]
[C#] [F#] Here we come again on a Saturday night, with your folks and everybody, won't you give me
to the room [B] I wanna move?
Playin' in a [F#] Travelin' Band, yeah, [C#] when I fly across the [B] land, tryin' to get [C#] ahead,
playin' in a [F#] Travelin' Band.
Wow!

[F#] [B]
[D#] [F#] Playin' in a Travelin' Band, playin' in a Travelin' Band, [B] won't you give me to my head?
[F#] Well, I'm playin' in a Travelin' Band, [C#] when I fly across the [B] land, tryin' to get [C#] ahead,
playin' in a Travelin' Band.
Wow!
[B]
[C#] [F#]
Woo!
Alright!
[D] Oh, that's a butt-cooker!
Anyway, so what I love about John is just he's a belter, and if we're honest with ourselves,
wait, by the way, if you like what you heard, please like and subscribe to my channel.
I have a singing course called How To Sing Better Than Anyone Else.
If you're interested, you can click here and check it out, where we negotiate and discuss
all this stuff.
I also have a singers forums with almost 10,000 people, or around 10,000 people in there
right now, and it's growing, growing, growing.
You can click here to check that out, so you can kind of get up to speed on some of this information.
So what I love about John is he was just a master belter, and like I said, if we're honest
with ourselves, especially rock singers, we are always kind of at the crest, or the zenith,
or the top, or threshold of our range, and we're always just kind of, we just want one
more note, two more notes, we'd be happy.
Well, if you work up songs like this, what is really cool about it is you can actually
increase your range if you understand how not to drag all the weight of your throat
from the bottom up to the top, how to pair down these sounds with correct vowel modifications
in order to be able to negotiate this.
Also, in a song fast like this, there's a lot of quick breaths.
So, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
Now, you don't see me huffing big, like this, but you'll see my stomach, hey, hey, hey,
hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!
You know, where I'm able to take quick breaths, so I can get in and out of this stuff, but
also be able to relax the diaphragm.
Now, I cover that in my section on diaphragmatic support, and I cover all this stuff in my
singing course called How To Sing Better Than Anyone Else.
So, if you guys like what you heard, again, come join us, and until next time, peace out!
