[F] [F#]
Hey all.
So I wanted to see how to play the Fallen In And Out Of Love intro to Amy.
And I haven't looked but I suspect there are several thousand guys on YouTube
playing it and [Am] I'm guessing mine's not the same as theirs.
So take it for what
it's worth.
But the the main [F#] thing is the the first two chords because the rest of
[G] that after that for me gets a little muddy in terms of what guitar is playing
what and there may be even three [F#m] guitars during that [D]
[F#] section and I can't tell
who's playing what.
[F] So I'm just gonna do a [A] single arrangement [F] of it.
The first
chord it's an A and the first chord is this [C#] thing that we've seen down here
most of the time you [D] see it down here.
[A] [D]
[A] You know that that that version of a D
[F#m] chord where you cover the D string at the fourth fret.
[F] Well you move that up
here.
So now it's open A string D string 7 G string [E] 5 B string 6 and open E on the
high [Am] end.
And that moves [G] up two frets.
[Bm]
[A] So it starts with this [F] so
[Am] [Em] [A]
that's [F] right [Am] [F]
[Am] [G] [Em]
[Am] goes
through a bunch of the [F] [A] touching words, re, [F] all that part.
[Bm] [D] Then it ends on that which is a D
except the high E is open.
So [Am] open D string G and B at 7 [D]
high E string open.
[E] To D that part you [A] know I can't hit those notes.
[D]
[A] [D]
[A] That's the fall in love part.
And I play that as open A
string [A] D string 7 G string 9 B string 10 and don't play that I don't play the
high E.
And I know there there is I believe there's a guitar capo way up
here playing that as a D.
Like in the opening to get that.
I think that's a capo up there.
But to do it as to do it on one guitar.
[D] [A]
So it's again it's that one D at 7 G 9 B 10 then just move down still cover it all the way across at 7.
Your B string is now at 8.
[D]
[A] Then take your B string off so now it's D G and B
at 7.
[D] [A]
[D]
[A] [D] [D]
[Am] So then after [D] that last one [F] goes back into it again.
[G]
[F] [Em] [D]
[A] And then I think
there's another one [D]
[A] [E]
[D] [F] and it settles on that first chord again.
[A] And then it's I think.
[Bm] [F#]
Okay so it [F] ends on this then [A] it goes this again is the way I'm doing it.
A so [Em] that's an A
chord if you were borrowing it.
But it's only the top part of it except the high E is
open through all these [A] chords.
So that's open A D 7 G 6 B 5.
[G] [A] Move that whole thing down [G] too so now you're in G.
[A] A string is still open [Em] high E is still open.
[D] [A] Now this is that same chord shape here except [N] now we are doing it down here in that D position.
So A open [Em]
D 4 G 2 B 3 high [D] E open [Bm] B minor.
Just take off the B
[E] to E regular E.
And then it [F#] starts [D] with the actual Amy part of the song.
But that's all the chords for the intro part.
And again you may have to.
I haven't taken the time to really listen hard [F#] to what those guitars are [A] doing in there.
[D] [A] [B] So I just found something that works for it ergonomically and musically.
So if you have any trouble let me know but [A] those are the shapes.
[G#] Good luck.
