Hey guys, what's up today's lesson is going [Am] to be drag me down by one direction
This is their [F] brand spanking new single and I have to say [C] I am a big fan
I have been listening to [Bb] the song on repeat more times than I [F] probably want to admit to you
And I know I have a lot of [Bb] directioners that are subscribed to my channel
So this one [F] is for y'all [C] and I am going to [F] show you how to play this song.
It's super easy all you [Am] need
Is a capo here on [F] the third fret and I promise you guys it's super [C] simple
So I'm gonna go ahead and go [Gm] over the chords that we're gonna be playing in the song
[F] I believe there's four of them.

We have an a minor
[Cm] _ _ _ Now we're gonna go ahead and get into the F and don't worry you guys
I'm [Eb] not using the bar chord version.
Usually I do because I really like it, but I'm just going to be using the open chord [D] version
So all we're gonna do is just switch these fingers here these two so just switch them around
_ [Ab] boom and you have your F major [Bbm] and then we're gonna go ahead and build a G major and
[Bb] _ _ _ Then last but not least we have a D minor
_ [Fm] _ _ _ [D] All right.
Awesome.
So [C] now we're gonna go ahead and get into the best [Bb] part, which is the strumming pattern
So for the first pattern there is a bug in my face.
Alright, so the first strumming pattern is down down up up down [F] up
_ I'm sure you guys [G] probably have heard this a million times in my videos
But the trick for that pattern is that between the two up strums just swing your arm down but don't strum
So [B] down down up up [N] down up the next thing that you'll see me do
which I really don't have to go into much detail because it's super easy is
There are parts where you're actually going to just use one down strum and let it ring out just to really accentuate
So it's just gonna sound [Cm] like this
_ And [Em] you're gonna hear that in parts of the song when you actually listen to the [Eb] recorded version
And then the last pattern that we're going to be doing is [D] this
_ _ _ _ So it's down up
It's kind of like down and then I flick and I because I don't really come all the way back up
So [B] it's down [C] down up down
Down up, but I don't actually strum like two downs
It's just like one down strum [G] and then I like make a down motion and come back up because it kind of it just counts
The beat for me because it's weird if I just go down
[C] So I just go [G] down _ and [G] I'm slapping the strings muted.
So with a chord it would [Cm] sound like this
