hello mr.
or mrs.
six rusty strings I just got your message here and I'm gonna
try and YouTube I can't really make tabs for whatever reason I'm not good at it
anyway but it doesn't like to make things line up properly when I make the
tabs so we're gonna just try and show you here so we're in drop D tuning [Eb] [D]
like
so and in a little [Dm] intro [B] there's just a couple [G] little [D]
riffs I guess so you're
just strumming along with the D chord and then on your a [G] string [B] [A] you're gonna
go from open to hammering on the second and third fret and I guess maybe [B]
[A] [D]
[Gb] [G] so
[D]
you're using [A]
[B] second [C] to third on your a string [G] and then your D and G strings
open and then back [B] from your second [A] to the open [E] a string [B] pull off [A] so
[Gm] and back
to the or down to the third fret on [B] your low E string [G] and
[F] [B]
up to your D string and
[E] then you come again [A] so slowly it's [D]
[B] [A]
that's the first one then the second one
[A] [D] so [A] you hammer on again on the [B]
a string sorry I'm a little tired you're getting
them confused on your a string hammer on from open to the [C] third fret [Dm] [D]
[C] [B] [G] and [B]
then hit
your D and then G strings [Am] open so [D] and [G] then third [Bb] fret D [F] string pull [D] off to
[Dm] open third [Cm] string E or sorry a string [D] and back up to the open D string [Am] so and
[D]
[Am] [D] [D]
then the last thing I do is [Bb] [C] like [Dm]
[D] that [B] similar to the first one it's a on your
a string [A] hammer up [E] and down on the second and third fret if that makes
[C] sense [A] from [C]
[A]
[Bb] [N] open to the third fret on your low E string [A]
[D] kind [A] of bend it at the
[C] end [A] so [F] [D]
that's the intro I'll do it quickly here [A]
[D]
[A] [D]
[A] [D]
[E] and once you're in the song
to do the whole part that makes it sound [D] Copperhead Road ish the little that whole
thing basically [B] oh the slide to the fifth fret that's what you mentioned
[D] okay so once you're done this
[D]
I'm [N] taking my middle finger off and sort of
changing my D chord to only the second finger and your third finger [E] sort of
trying to mute your high [A] E string so it sounds like and
[Db] then you can use your
pinky [D] to hit your fifth fret so it's
[Gm] [D]
definitely a stretch and it's tough to
make it sound seamless because your hands do come off [E] or your fingers do
come off the strings for a split second [D] so you just gotta try and get quick and
smooth at it I guess I even have trouble with it but that's how I do [Gb] it so hope
that helps take it easy
