[F] Hi, this is Joshua Steffan from the [Am] Gypsy Guitar Academy.
I will show you now the intro of [D] Bobby Womack's Breezin,
[A] inspired [Bm] by the [A] great version of George Benson.
[Ab] First [Bb] of all, I play the [D] intro riff, and after [Bm] that I will explain [G]
how I [D] play the intro.
[B] [Em]
[A] [Dm]
[B] [Em]
[A] [Eb]
[G] So I start with the first finger on the fifth fret, and I play just downs with the [D] right hand,
and I mute also with the right hand all the strings to get this sound.
So starting here with the first finger fifth fret,
[Gm] [N] then I continue with the first finger and I [Am] play a [D] bar.
[Eb] For 7-9 [C] on A string I use the fourth finger, [B] and then again first finger low E seventh fret.
Then I play some octaves, [Bm] so D and low E string.
First D string, low E, again two times D.
[F] Then I play a hammer-on with the first and second finger 7-8 on A string.
[Dm] So this is the first part.
[Bm] [Em]
[F] Then I continue with the first [E] finger seventh fret A string.
Again we do the same thing with the bar.
[G] Then 9-10 with the fourth finger on A string, back to low [Am] E with the first finger fifth fret,
and [A] again we play the octaves.
And after [B] we play the [Eb] octaves I [E] play with [N] the second finger sixth fret A string,
and then we continue with the riff.
So this is [D] the whole thing.
[Bm]
[Em] [A]
[Eb] [Dm] [B] I [Em] [A]
[Eb] [D]
use the following chords for the rhythm guitar.
[A] So starting [E] here with a D major 7-9 [A] chord,
[Bm] then I play a B minor 7, [Em] after that E minor 9,
[Gb]
[A] and [Gbm] I continue with A13 [A] and A7.
So this is the rhythm that I play.
One, two, three, four.
[D] [G]
[Db] [A]
[D] [G]
Yeah, this was the [Am] intro of Breezin, but [Bm] there is a lot more to learn at our Gypsy Guitar [Am] Academy.
So here is the [Gbm] full [Fm] transcription [B] of the song [E] that is [G] available at [Bbm] our Gypsy Guitar Academy,
and [Bm] it's inspired by the version that I did with the great Birelli Legrain on my Guitar Hero album.
So check out the [Dm] gypsyguitaracademy.com, learn Breezin, and a lot of [D] more songs.
[E] I hope to see you there.
