[N] Hi guys, welcome to [B] Classic Guitar Rock.
I'm Jeremy and [Gbm] I've got a quick lesson on [D] one of my favorite tunes from the
sometime in the late 60s [B] by a group called Spirit
Randy, California was [C] the kind of the [Em] spearhead in the group
And there's a great song called.
I [Gb] got a line on you and let me show you the chords.
We're gonna use we're gonna [A] use an a a
7 actually or playing a whatever I think it's actually an a7 we're gonna play that
[F] We're gonna play an F
[G] and a G
That's pretty much it.
I mean it
[Eb] And during the solo it goes [D] up to I'm put oh by the way
I'm playing it in a the recording might [B] actually be in B, but I've always [E] played it in a so if you want to play
It and be just [A] move everything up two frets
So we're gonna use those three chords and then for the solo we're gonna [D] go up to D
And I just played it the tenth [N] fret [G] and we got this little riff.
So you're just [A] playing the a
[Am]
So that's just an a7 [F] and then I'm just playing
[C]
[Em] it's really mostly the
third and [F] fourth string from [C] the fifth fret
To the seventh [D] seem just hammering down like it
[Am] [E] If you get the B [F] string, it doesn't it's not the end of the [C] world
But that but it's just kind of a [A] nice little groove just
[Am]
[Em] [A]
[Am]
[A] [Am]
[A] [Am]
[A] [Am] [A]
[Am]
[A] [F]
[G] [A]
[F]
[G] [A]
So that's
That's pretty [Am] much it so [E] those are the verses and you'll you'll just kind of go to [Bb] that riff
[F] those are the verses and you'll just kind [Dm] of go to that riff in [A] between and
Then [Ab] after the second verse maybe after the [B] third verse
It [F] goes up to D [D] and there's a [Am] little solo
But the rhythm guitar basically is doing the same thing only up in D.
So you just kind of come up to the D
[D] the tenth fret
[F]
[D] While the guys that you if you play the [E] lead solo you played over that [A] or
[Bb] We had [Em] another guy that played the lead on that and I just kind [F] of be [Bbm] creative on that D part
I could play that or I [F] could just stay on the D like a [D] d7
Whatever, but you go up to D
For the solo and then after the [F] solo you come out and go right back into the
[G] [A]
[F] [G] I got a line on [A] you
[F] And they might [A] go back into that
Yeah, I remember
[Am] [A] [Am] Anyways, it's a cool song.
It's [D] just got a nice groove
And some [B] nice harmonies that you can work [F] out there.
It's it's it's a good song nice and easy to play
So have fun with that and if you haven't subscribed yet, please do so
