[C] [Bbm] Hi, I'm John Harrington.
Most recently been working with Steely Dan over the last 10 years
or [Eb] so.
That's pretty much my biggest gig.
We average a tour every 3 years or so and
then for the last several years we've been out pretty much every Sunday.
[Gm] The iRig is
just this little thing where the guitar plugs into.
Got an output that goes into the [Gb] iPhone
[Eb] and then the output that comes out and I'm sending it to a direct box and we're recording
into Pro Tools this way.
So we get lots of different sounds around the way.
This is one
you might recognize.
Beginning of A Million Years, which is a tune we've been doing recently
live on the iRig.
A little sound I set up for [Em] it.
[D] [Em] [A]
[Am] [C]
[Gbm] [B]
[A]
[G]
[A] [G]
[E]
[A]
[E] [G] This is Black Cow, [Eb] another tune [Em] from
the record [Eb] Asia.
[Gm]
[C] [Gm]
[Am] [Gm]
[A] [C]
[E] [Gm]
[D]
[A] [N] It goes on like that.
But it's just a simple rhythm guitar sound and
for that one, I've got it saved as a preset but it's just this clean [Eb] black bass amp sound.
And you've got an array of controls you can dial.
[A] [Em] Pretty cool.
You can see the authentic
Tremolo sound.
[G]
[Em] Very much like a real black bass amp.
And that's a perfect sound for,
without [Eb] the Tremolo, I mean it's a perfect sound for an awful lot of the rhythm guitar
stuff.
[G]
So I guess I've got a Flanger sound dialed in on the rhythm [Eb] guitar sound.
Beginning
of Peg.
[Gm] [G] The
[Gbm] [Gm]
[Dm] [G]
[Eb]
solo sound of Peg.

I'm [Bb] [G]

[Gm]
[G]
[C] [D] [Db] [Gm]
[Cm] [G]
going to try to dial [Gm] in the sound for Don't Take Me
Alive.
We've got the distortion, [Eb] black distortion.
I've got the gain up a little more than it
was before.
[Gm] This is fun to play live.
[G]
[Bb]
[F] [Eb] [G]
[Cm] [Gm]
[Eb] [Gm]
[F] [Eb]
[Bm] I'm pretty [Eb] excited I'm going to take this with
me on the restraint of the Sunday.
And this is my practice [Bb] amp in the pillar.
I actually
had some music to get together for a tour that's happening in August through the beginning
of October.
The Dukes of September Rhythm Review is a triple build basically featuring
Donald [Gb] Figg and Bob [Bb] Skaggs and Michael McDonald.
But all at the same [Eb] time, not like three separate
acts on one band.
[Bb] We're going to do a few hits of each of the guys, from each of the
guys, but mostly it's going to be like old soul, R&B and rock and roll kids.
[Eb] They've
got their keys on and everything.
It should be a blast.
[Gm]
So enjoy the iRig and please check
into johnherrington.com and look for a new CD coming up soon called Shine Shine Shine
and that will be available on cdbaby.com. Another record, Like So, is available there.
It's all over.
