So what we've got is a show that we did in the Hunter Valley that we filmed and we're going to give you that whole show but in bits, but as well as the bits of the actual performances themselves.
We're going to give you a whole lot of little extra bits including some comments from members of the band and so on.
And when you have a look at some of these performances and you see some of the wide shots, you'll see the scale of what's going on there.
One thing that a lot of people don't really appreciate, probably a lot of artists don't work this way, but for the last at least seven years we've had exactly the same team of technicians and crew around us and they are the best in Australia.
And the whole thing is really a massive team effort, even going back to Larry, our tour manager, who has been working with us since 1986.
Now that's a mighty long time, so whenever we do a show and we're setting up for this, whenever we watch back any of this sort of footage, all of the members of the band are incredibly acutely aware of how big an effort it is and the appreciation that we have for all of our crew who are a vital part of our team.
Alright, the Icehouse groove, which is like that.
But the thing I love about that is that offbeat snare.
When we originally performed it, there was no big guitar thing at the end.
It was just keyboards and drums.
And I remember when we sort of played it in this punk venue first, I thought we were going to get murdered because they were so used to having incredibly loud, incredibly hard, incredibly fast guitar bands.
And there we were doing this kind of gothic epic with keyboards only.
And luckily they actually liked it, but I thought it was an incredibly dangerous thing to [Db] do.
It's
[Ab]
always cold inside the [Eb] [Ebm]
Icehouse.
[B]
Though the river's never [Gb] free.
[Ab]
There's a girl [Abm] outside the [Eb] Icehouse.
[B]
I can see her clearly [Gb] through the trees.
[A] And now she's dreaming [Ebm] of a [E] new love.
[Bm]
And she hopes he'll be [D] there soon.
[A]
But she's got so [E] long to wait for him.
[Bm] Cause he needs another year to get [D] there.
Wait another lifetime out [Ebm] there.
[Abm]
There's a girl in love [Ab] inside the [Db] Icehouse.
[Ab] The devil lives inside the [Eb] Icehouse.
[Ebm]
[B]
At least that's what the old ones [Gb] say.
They [Ab] say she came a long time ago.
[Eb] He came here with the winter snow.
[B]
Now it's colder every [Db] day.
[Gb] [A] But she's still dreaming [Gb] through the [E] summer.
[Bm]
And she's hoping [Ab] through the [D] spring.
[A] She says she's got no [Ebm] time for [E] winter nights.
She [Bm] doesn't know just as the days go by.
[Db] [D] Can't remember the day of her.
[Gb]
Inside the Icehouse.
[Abm]
[Ebm]
[B]
[Gb]
[Dbm] [Abm]
[B] [Gb]
[A]
She's still dreaming through the [E] summer.
[Bm]
And she's hoping [D] through the spring.
She [A] says she's got no time [E] for winter nights.
[Bm] Doesn't know just as the days go by.
[D] Can't remember the day of her.
[Db]
There's no love inside the Icehouse.
[Abm] There's no love inside the Icehouse.
[Db] The Icehouse.
