It's one of those things where it wouldn't matter how long I'm mucked around with a guitar sound for that.
In my head it will always be a poor cousin of what's on the record.
So I kind of have to put that out of my head and just go,
okay, no, it's different, we're playing it live, it's just going to be different.
It's a different combination, it's Paul and me and we've both got different sounds.
And he's worked out his [G] sound to fill in the bits that are missing from my [B] sound and [E] vice versa.
We do this quite a lot, for example in Great Southern Land or something like that where there are also two guitars doubling.
We're not both [F#] trying to get the same sound, we're actually making [D#] two parts of one sound, if [G#] that makes any sense.
I like locking with [A#] Wheeler on that one, it's a fairly simple [F#] bass line.
That's what I [F] get off on the song, [C#] his bass guitar lock on that one.
[A] [Bm] Yeah, Crazy.
One of the things I have to do is play those guitar bombs, the [B] do-oo-oo bits,
just because [Am] Paul Gilday is not [A] a good enough player to be [N] able to cover it.
I play it the same way, I play Crazy the same way now as I did on the demo.
Because I think some of the fills are actually fills that people, they're signature fills.
They're kind of the fills that people might sing along to.
