Hey guys, Cardi Mardi here, Easy Guitar Tunes.
I got another real fun tune by a great band, Steelers Wheels, called Stuck in the Middle.
It's a real fun tune to play in any function.
You guys will really like this one.
And it's a pretty simple song as well.
There's only five chords in it.
So I hope you [F#] guys enjoy this one.
The [D] chords are D, [G] G, [A] A, [C] and C.
I also put an A7 in [B] there.
And all that is is your three finger A but no middle.
[Em] So it's just your, [A] instead of the A chord, you just lift that middle finger.
[Em] A7.
Again, [D] the chords are D, [G] G, [A] A, [C] C, and [C#] A7.
You're A without the middle [Em] string.
Right?
So, [D] this drum is, I [F#] call it a rhythmic kind of an up and down drum.
[F] And you'll notice that I use a slap drum with it as well.
It's just a muted drum.
It kind of gives it a drum beat feel when you're playing solo.
I find that's a neat tool to use when you're playing.
It's definitely [G] optional, no question.
But if you do want to know more about it, just click on the link there, the slap or muted drum link in this video.
And it'll give you a brief explanation.
But really [D] all it is is me using the fat of my hand there [D] just kind of slowing it down.
Stopping it, muting it.
And that's [G#m] the same with the strum.
The strum is a very [G] basic up and down rhythmic strum.
So it kind of stays that way through the whole song, [D] kind of like this.
[G]
[A] [C] [D]
So practice that strum, practice [F] those chords, and then join us for the song.
This is a great tune again, like I said before.
It works out at any venue you play at.
[A#] So I hope you guys enjoy this one, Steeler's Wheels, Stuck in the Middle with You.
Let's [D] give her a go.
[G] [D]
[A] [G] [D]
I'm stuck in the middle with you
And I'm wondering what it is I do
[G] It's a hole that keeps a smile on my face
[D] Losing control, I'm all over the place
[A] Pounds to the left of me, jokers to the [D] right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
[G] One night I started out with nothing
And you're probably your [D] selfish man
[G] And my friends, they all come crawling
Slap you on [D] the back and say please
[Em] Please
[D] I try to make sense of it all
But I can see it makes no sense at all
[G] It's cool to go to sleep on the floor
[D] Cause there's nothing I can take anymore
[A] Pounds to the left of me, jokers to the [D] right
Here I am, stuck in the middle with you
[G] One night I started out with nothing
And you're probably your [D] selfish man
[G] And my friends, they all come crawling
Slap you on [D] the back and say please
[C#m] Please
[D]
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
Yes, I'm stuck in the middle with you
