HOW TO PLAY - Peppa Pig Theme Song (Piano Tutorial Lesson) chords
Start Jamming...
Hello guys, this is Amos from Stole Music and in today's lesson I want to teach you
how to play the Peppa Pig theme.
This is dedicated to one of my private piano students.
She's only about 6 and she really likes Peppa Pig so here we go.
I think a lot of people who like the show as well would actually want to learn how to
play this on the piano.
It's actually really simple so it'll be a pretty short tutorial.
Anyway, here we go.
Let's give you [B] a preview of how it sounds like.
It's a repeating motif.
It goes like this.
Check it [C] out.
[G] [C] [G]
[C] But anyway, that's pretty much it.
[G] [C]
[G] [C] So that's that.
Let's go ahead and learn how to play it.
So right hand starts on the G up here.
So middle C is here for reference.
We go up an octave to this C, starting on the G up here.
So it goes G, down to E, down to C, [G] D, down to the G.
That's the first part.
So there's two parts to this lesson.
One more time.
So the first part, right hand goes like this.
It goes G, [C] down to E, [Gm] C, D, down to the lower G.
Like that.
That's the right hand for the first part.
Okay, the left hand, we have two chords.
[C] The two chords are C major, which is C, E, and G, followed by [G] G major, which is G, B,
D.
So with these two chords in [C] mind, so C major [G] followed by G major, the two hands together
[Cm] goes like this.
So it goes [G] G and the C major together.
[C] D and G [G] major together.
Just like that.
That is the first part.
One more time.
It goes [C] together.
[G] Together.
Alright, moving on to the second and last part of this.
Right hand, it goes G, B, D, [Bb]
[A] F, E, [Fm] C.
Like that.
Simple.
One more [G] time for the right hand.
So it goes lower G.
It goes G, B, D, [Bb] [C] F, E, C.
Like that for the right hand.
[Ab] Okay, so that's the right hand.
The left hand for this second part, we have the two chords, but it's actually reverse
two chords of the first part.
So instead of C major to G major like the first part, this time it's G major to C major like this.
[G] So G major, G, B, D, [C] back to C major, which is C, E, G.
So [G] with these two chords in mind, so G major [C] followed by C major, the two hands together
[E] goes like this.
[G] So it goes G and G major together.
[F] E and C [C] major together.
Just like that.
One more time.
It [G] goes like this.
Together.
[C] Together.
Just like that.
Okay, so yes, that is it.
So that's the two parts.
[N] So the two parts that we've learnt back to back, we play [C] like this.
Check it out.
[G] Like [C]
that.
So when it's faster.
[G] [C] It gets a bit harder when it's faster because you have to stretch quite a bit.
[G] [C] Once [G] [C] you can get that, then you can do what I did in the preview where the left hand I
did a sort of pattern where I did for all the chords, [Bbm] so change all the chords to [C] this.
So for example, C major, you want to do like this.
So the lowest note followed by the higher two notes.
For two times like that.
And [G] then for G major, same thing.
Same thing.
[C] Like that.
And then, so back to back, the pattern applied to this would be like this.
[G]
[C] Like that, okay.
So that's when you can actually get the melody and chords good, then you can do this.
When moving faster, it would be pretty hard for the left hand.
[G] [C]
Like that, okay.
Really articulate.
[G] [C] Like that.
And that's pretty much it, okay.
So for new pianists who are still focusing on getting the left hand and right hand together,
like hand independence, then just do the melody and chords version, the easier version.
[G] [C]
For those people who can move their hands quicker and want to get a [G] challenge and do
the pattern [C] as well, then you can do.
[G] [C] Okay, but that's that.
