How to Play "Everything I Do I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams on Guitar chords
Start Jamming...
What's up guys?
Boy do I have a treat for you today.
We've got Brian Adams, Everything I Do Just for You Guys.
So check it out, we're gonna start off with the capo
on the first fret and we're going to be doing
everything relative to the capo,
teaching you a simple way to play it
because it's not a very, [Gm] it's more of a piano based song
so we're gonna give you guys the opportunity
to [Db] learn it on guitar.
Starting off with a C, this is kind of like the verse.
Mute three, two, zero, one, zero.
All right, and [Ab] then we go to a G.
Three, two, zero, zero, three, three.
[Gb] Then to an F.
Mute zero, three, two, one, one.
[Ab] And then back to that G.
[Abm] So those are the primary chords
that are gonna be [Bb] encompassing the verse.
So, [Db] look into my eyes
[Ab] and you will see what [Gb] you mean [Ab] to me.
I don't wanna go that high.
Search [Db] your heart, search your soul.
[Gb] When you find me [Db] there, you'll [Ab] search no more.
You see how it goes from that C to the G?
Just like that.
[Db] So, [Ab] to the G, this is beginning the verse over again.
To [Gb] the F, [Ab] to a G, to a C.
Search [Ab] your G.
[Gb] And when you, here's an F, [Db] to a C.
[Ab] So we're kind of cutting that [Db] in half.
And then we kick it into [Ebm] the chorus with a D [Bb] minor.
Mute zero, zero, [Ebm] two, three, one.
Don't tell me it's not worth fighting for.
[Ab] Okay, so it's just going between that [Db] D minor
and the C for [Ebm] now.
It's not [Db] worth [Ebm] trying for.
[Db] And they go to that C just for a second
before they transition into the second line of the chorus.
[Ebm] You can't tell me it's [Db] not worth [Ebm] fighting for.
[Ab] You know it's [Db] true.
So we go to a C, right?
[Ab] Everything I do, I do [Db] it for you.
All right, so it just goes C, G, C.
[Ab] Last line, no problem, right?
Then it repeats into the [Gb] verse.
Super easy, super easy as pie.
Then it repeats into the chorus.
Same chords, right?
Same sequence.
And then we go into the bridge.
So say that we're coming out [Db] of the second chorus, right?
You know it's true.
[Ab] Everything I do, I [Db] do it for you.
And they hang on that C.
[B] There's no love.
So now we're doing a B flat.
Mute, one, three, three, three.
[E] Like your love.
To an E flat.
[B] We're just sliding up.
See now I'm playing my chords like that.
That one, three, three, three.
I play it like this, you play it like that maybe.
With your ring or pinky.
It's all what makes you feel comfortable.
[E] Then up to that E flat.
[B] And then back to the B flat.
To an F.
[Gb]
So it's [B] going this.
There's no love [E] like your love.
[B] And one love [Gb] can give you more love.
So that F, okay?
[Db]
There's nowhere.
To a C.
[Ab] There's nowhere.
To a G.
[Eb] All the time.
That's a strange key change right there.
Mute, that's going to be a D, right?
Mute, zero, zero, two, three, two.
[Ab] All the way.
No, I don't sing like Ryan Adams.
Maybe you do.
G.
All the way.
And that's it, so.
[Eb] All the time.
[Ab]
All the way.
And then it kicks into this whole interlude [Gb] solo
type thing where it's just going between the [Db] F and a C.
[Gb] I think it might be a little bit more than that.
[Db] And so just between the [Bb] F and C for the guitar solo.
And then you kick into a final chorus
which is a little bit different, right?
[Ebm] It's going to be, you can't tell me.
So it goes from a D minor.
It's not [Ab] worth trying for.
And it goes to a [Ebm] G, right?
[Ab]
So they do [Ebm] that twice.
You can't tell me.
It's not worth fighting for.
Trying for.
I [Ebm] can't help it.
There's nothing I [Ab] want more.
And then it does this like,
this is where the song gets epic, right?
[Db] Yeah, I would fly for you.
He does a C.
[Ab] I would lie for you.
[Gb] Walk the wire for you.
And then they [Abm] do an F minor.
[Gb] So walk the wire for you.
[Gbm] Yeah, I'd die for you.
[Gb] Right?
So it's going to be one, three, three, [Gbm] one, one, one.
[Db] You know it's true.
Doing a C.
[Ab] Everything I do.
That's a G.
[Gb] Oh, [Ebm] I'd do [Db] it for you.
[Gb] So it goes from an F [Ebm] to a D minor [Db] to a C.
And that's how you end the song.
And just like that, you've learned [N] Brian Adams'
awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome, everything I do.
