What's up everybody, it's Stingray here of StingrayFilms.com back here today with another tutorial.
Today we're going to be learning Everything I Do by Bryan Adams.
A very very simple song to play, it's really a piano based song, but today we're going to be playing it on the guitar because it is really easy to play.
It's only about 3 chords and I will teach you guys this song today.
Actually the main riff is only 3 chords.
But we'll start off with a little bit of the lick first.
I'm assuming that you know all the chords already, so if you don't, refer back to my basic guitar chord tutorial video.
And you'll know how to form all the shapes and switch between chords and a little bit of exercises of how to do that.
So let's get started.
I'll start off with a little bit of the lick.
I haven't tabbed out the first part of the lick, but I have the other parts of the lick tabbed out.
So if you want to learn this, play it in slow motion in this video and then you will learn all these licks because it's pretty cool.
So [G#]
[C#] [D#] that's how you play a little bit of the lick in the beginning.
We'll get to the D chord.
We'll start off with the D chord.
We'll start the song now.
[G#] I'm going to throw a little bit of a bass note because it sounds better in the beginning of the [C#] song.
So start off like that.
[G#] Then we're going to alternate to the A chord.
Which in this case I'm going to bar my fingers.
Sometimes you can play it like that.
With the 3 fingers, but I prefer to bar it.
[F#] And then we're going to alternate between the G chord.
[E] And that's how you play [C#] basically the entire song.
So I'll play a little bit for you.
Please don't mind my singing of course.
[G#]
[F#] [G#]
[C#] [G#]
[F#] [C#] [G#]
[D#m] [C#]
[D#m] [C#] [G#]
[D#m] Then we get to the E minor.
So [G#] [D#m] you see how it goes right there.
E minor.
[C#] D.
[G#] A.
It changes up the rhythm a little bit during that little bridge part there.
And that's how it continues on with the song.
So like I said it's basically [C#] just switching between [F#] D, A, [D#m] G.
Then you throw a little E minor in there.
[G#] Then you get [F#] into that.
However during the solo it's going to change up a little bit.
It's going to go like when the electric guitar is going.
We're playing the rhythm of the song here.
We're not playing like the solo or anything of the song.
So we're just playing the rhythm.
It's going to go like this.
[C#] Dsus4.
Throw in your pinky.
[F#] [C#] [F#]
[C#] Throw in a little bit of the pinky there to make a Dsus4.
And then you will have your solo complete.
There.
That's basically it alternates the whole entire solo part when [G] the guitar is going.
We're playing the rhythm of [F#] the guitar like I said.
So we're going.
Same rhythm.
[C#]
[F#] [G#] No way though.
No [F#m] way.
Just threw that in there randomly.
But that's how you play the song.
Other than that we also have the one part.
The one bridge part.
Which is right here where you have a C [B] chord.
Um.
Where they go like.
There's no love.
[G#m] Like your love.
[B] And no other.
[F#] Could give more love.
[C#] There's no way.
[G#] Unless you're there.
[C#] All the time.
[G#] All the way.
Yeah.
That's how it goes.
That's the bridge of the song right there.
Um.
You know.
You can mix up the chords a little bit.
I know [D#m] one of the tab sheets or whatever.
It showed that it was like that.
That and then back to E minor.
Which sounded terrible to me.
So.
[D#] It doesn't sound right like that.
So I basically made this kind of my own version.
So you can play around with the chords a little bit.
And make this song you know.
Custom to how it fits best to you.
And that's about it guys for this tutorial.
Hope you guys enjoyed it.
