[E] [Bb] Hey, what's up you guys?
Marty Schwartz here from GuitarJams.com. How you doing?
You doing
good?
I'm doing good.
I'm about to show you a fun, bluesy, droney kind of concept, basically.
That's the best I can put it.
You hear a lot of guitar heroes using it.
And I'm going to
show you the secrets to it.
Also, I have some bonus blues licks in the link down there.
You can check those out.
Appreciate that.
Appreciate your Facebook support and all that
stuff too.
Links below.
Let's zoom in.
Break this one down though.
Here we go.
Kind of
improvising in the E blues scale.
[E] [Bm] [Em] [Bb]
[Em] [Bb] [G]
[Em] Okay, but let's now use our fingers and I'm going to
do this kind of idea.
I actually, I like to tuck it in, into my index finger there and
then I use my thumb and middle finger [Gm] to do some pluckies.
[Em] So what we're going to do
is we're [Am] going to, first we're just going to [E] start real simple on the D [D] string.
An open
D [Bm] and then the second fret of the D.
[E]
[Em] You know, some vibrato in there, right?
But every time
you hit the note, we're going to hit an open E with our thumb with [E] it.
And then we're going
[D] [E]
[Em]
to do this.
[E] Okay, so we want to add this next.
Same idea, but now the [G] open G.
So then you
can do this kind [Em] of thing.
[A]
[Em] [E] [Em]
[A] [Em] [A] [Em]
So any lick that you can think of without the open E in there,
[A] [Em]
[D] you [E] can add the open E.
