[F] [G] Hey, [N] what's up you guys marty schwartz here from guitar [Gbm] jams.com
Uh happy to bring you another bluesy lesson.
[N] This one's cool because it's kind of like a 12 bar blues
Uh, but instead of the first groove the one chord it's like a riff and it's a classic blues riff
So it'll be fun for you to play.
It's not too hard and then the progression that goes with it
So, you know add a little variation to some blues jams that you might may be doing
Also, I have blues licks
Uh that are in [Ebm] the style of famous players, it's a dvd quality series.
It's not on [Gbm] youtube
Uh, and it's in [Db] a link right down there.
You can click that.
I really appreciate that support
[Ab] Plus I got all my social media stuff down there too.
[Gbm] But anyway, let's zoom in and do this lesson [G] right now.
Here we go
All right.
Here's a fun blues.
Um
That's [N] you know, very popular obviously
kind of based on a 12 bar, but instead, uh, the the one chord instead of [G] like, you know, uh,
Instead of that kind of normal [Gb] groove.
It's a uh, it's like a riff a lick
And then [Db] eventually it switches [Ab] to the four chord of the blues and the five chord of the [N] blues
Just like a standard blues, but the one chord is a lick instead of the groove and we're in g
So it's the g minor pentatonic
Is where the lick comes from and we're going to put our ring finger on the fifth fret
[G] of the a string
[Ab] Coming right from this g minor pentatonic [D] right here
Starts right there
And [N] then we're going to go up to the next note up the scale, which is the third fret on [D] the d
[F] And [N] then we're going to go back to the original [D] note
[Db] So it looks [Dm] like this
[Db] Right [F] and back to that one again
So [Db] it's just going back like [Dm] that
[F] [G] [N] And then finally on the root a g note fifth fret on that d string right [D] there check it out
[F] [G] [N]
[F] [G] [F] [Dm]
[G] [C] [D]
[F] [G] [C] So
Just put a bass on
[D] [F]
[G] [C] [D] [F]
[G] [C] [Dm]
[G] [N] [Dm]
[G] [C]
[G]
You
[D]
[Cm]
[C] [G]
[C] [D] [Ab]
[D] [Dm] [G]
[D] [F] [G] [N]
[F] [G] [Ab] [F]
[G] [Bb] [F]
[G] [Cm] [Bb] [F] [G]
[C] [Gm] [G]
[Db] So then uh liking a lot [Gb] of other blues that four chord [C] which is c
I was playing it on the a string.
It's going to be easier to do it up [B] here, but it's the exact same [C] thing
[G] Eighth [Ab] fret tenth fret and then you're adding your pinky to the 12th fret on the a string
[Cm] Back
[C] [Cm] [C]
[G] to g
Instead of the riff we're doing the same thing right here
Which is third fret fifth fret and adding that seventh fret [Fm] then you got the five chord, which is the [D] d
[C] Down to c just like a normal blues
[G] [Gm] But
[G] [Eb] [G] [C] [D]
[G] anyway, you hit the g
[N]
And [G] so watch g g
[N] Then you can just go from the third fret on [F] the d
[E] [Eb] [D]
[F] [G] [Em] [Eb] [Gm]
[Db] [D] [Ab] And you can [C] play the open g along with it if you want, but so you've [D] got [C] G
[Cm] [C]
[G] [F] [E] [Eb]
[Dm] [C] Three [Dm] four five on the a string [Cm] so you [Dm] went three four five and then you're right [F] there for that note of the lick again
[C]
[D] [F] [C] [Dm]
[G] [Ebm] [D]
[F] [Gm] [D] [C]
[Cm]
[D]
[Em] [G] [Em]
[G] [D]
[Cm]
[G] [F] [G] [Em]
[G] [C] [Db] [D] [F]
[G] All right, that was it.
Hope you got something from it.
Remember i've got those bonus blues lick lessons down in [Db] that link right below this box
uh, thanks for
All the support and all that stuff.
I really appreciate it and I hope to see you in another lesson real soon.
