[F#] Alright.
[N] Hi, and welcome to chord tutorial number 15, where we'll learn a bunch of chords that we
can use to play a popular song.
The first chord we'll be using will be an E flat minor [F#] 9.
[N] And that's going to be played by placing finger 1 at the 11th fret, got your finger on the
D string and everything below it, and then I'm going to bring my ring finger in and put
it on the 13th fret on the high E.
And strum that from the D [F#] string, try to avoid the others,
like that.
And that's an E flat minor 9.
[G#] Now in order to get an E flat minor 7, we're simply going to remove the ring [F#] finger.
[D#m] Now we have an E flat minor 7.
Okay, E flat minor [F#] 9, E flat minor 7.
And if [B] you want to [F] slide into that E flat minor 9, you just go back a fret and slide,
[F#] like [F] that.
[F#] Nice.
[F] [F#]
Nice jazzy effect, okay?
That was E flat minor 9 and E flat minor 7.
Alright, [C#] next we'll be doing a major chord.
Just a straight major.
And we're playing that at the 9th fret, first finger's at the 9th fret, holding down the
B and the high E string.
We're on the [Fm] G string at the 10th fret and the [C#] D string at the 11th fret.
We'll also follow [G] that with a G flat major, which is like [F#] this.
You just go straight down.
Now what that is, is a G flat major 6.
And you [C#] can vamp between [F#] those two,
[C#] like that.
So our next chord [D#] is E flat minor 7.
[F#]
[Fm] We're borrowing the 6th fret with the 1st [E] finger.
We're bringing in [N] the middle finger to the B string at the 7th fret and the ring finger
to the D string [D#m]
at the 8th fret.
That's E flat minor 7.
[N] Now we're going to be moving to a D flat major 7, [C#] like this.
This is at the 4th [N] fret.
We're borrowing the 4th fret, bringing in the middle finger to the G string this time.
And then bringing the ring finger to the D string at the 6th fret.
That was the middle finger at the 5th fret.
And then the 6th fret we're going to bring [C#] in the pinky also.
That's D flat major 7.
We'll need an F minor 7 and the [D] minor 7 form is [Fm] at the F [G#] minor 7.
[Fm] That's at the 8th fret.
[Cm] Borrowing there, bringing in [N] your middle finger to the B string at the 9th fret.
8, 9 and then 10th fret we bring in the ring finger to the [G#] D string.
We're going to take that same form up to the [A#m] 13th fret for a B minor 7.
Now for our next chord we're going to be learning how to play a D flat 7 suspended 4.
[N] I'm going to borrow the 9th fret, like that.
Bring in my ring finger to the A string at the 11th fret and bring in my pinky to the
G string at the 11th fret.
[B] Just [C#] like that.
[B]
[C#] Now you're going to follow that with a D flat 7.
Like that.
Now what I did is I removed my [B] pinky.
I had my pinky and my ring [G#] finger at the 11th fret.
Remove the pinky and bring in your middle [F] finger to the [C] 10th fret on the [C#] G string.
And that's a D flat 7 chord.
Now we need one more 7 suspended 4 and that's going to be at the 11th fret played [C#m] this way.
[F#] Like that.
[G#] [C#] [F#]
[Cm] That's A flat 7 [C#] [F#]
suspended 4.
Now I'm strumming that from the A string.
[C] We also need an A flat major chord which is going to be played this way.
[G#] Okay, so I've got my A flat there at [D#] [G#] the 11th fret.
I'm going to borrow everything at the 13th fret from the D string down.
And I'm not playing the high E string.
So that's a straight ahead major.
Now to get G flat major I'm simply going to lower that by a whole [F#] step.
And that's G flat major.
We're also going to have to have a different minor 7 form.
[G#] And that's going to be done [A#m] this way.
[N] This is a B flat minor 7.
[C#]
Now [N] what I'm doing is I'm barring everything.
I'm butting up against the A string and barring everything below it.
And then I'm going to bring my thumb over to get the low E string at [A#m] the 6th fret.
And that's the B flat minor 7.
Now for an A flat minor [Gm] 7 I'm simply going to [D#m] lower that to [F] the [G#m] 4th fret.
Like that.
Okay, so now we have A flat minor 7.
And you know what?
That about wraps it up for the chords [C#] for this tutorial.
You can use the link at the bottom of the page to go to a song that you can learn to

[N] Hi, and welcome to chord tutorial number 15, where we'll learn a bunch of chords that we
can use to play a popular song.
The first chord we'll be using will be an E flat minor [F#] 9. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [N] And that's going to be played by placing finger 1 at the 11th fret, _ _ got your finger on the

And strum that from the D [F#] string, try to avoid the others,
_ like that. _ _ _
And that's an E flat minor 9. _
_ _ [G#] _ Now in order to get an E flat minor 7, we're simply going to remove the ring [F#] finger. _
[D#m] Now we have an E flat minor 7.
_ _ Okay, E flat minor [F#] 9, _ _ E flat minor 7. _ _ _ _
And if [B] you want to [F] slide into that E flat minor 9, you just go back a fret and slide,
[F#] like [F] that.
[F#] _ Nice.
[F] _ [F#] _
_ _ Nice _ _ jazzy effect, okay?
That was E flat minor 9 and E flat minor 7.
Alright, [C#] next we'll be doing a major chord. _
Just a straight major.
_ And we're playing that at the 9th fret, first finger's at the 9th fret, holding down the
B and the high E string.
_ _ We're on the [Fm] G string at the 10th fret _ _ and the [C#] D string at the 11th fret. _ _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ We'll also follow [G] that with a G flat major, which is like [F#] this. _
You just go straight down.
Now what that is, is a G flat major 6.
And you [C#] can vamp between [F#] those two, _
[C#] _ like that.
_ _ _ So our next chord [D#] is E flat minor 7.
[F#] _ _
_ _ [Fm] We're borrowing the 6th fret with the 1st [E] finger.
We're bringing in [N] the middle finger to the B string at the 7th fret and the ring finger
to the D string [D#m] _ _ _
at the 8th fret. _ _ _ _
That's E flat minor 7.
[N] Now we're going to be moving to a D flat major 7, [C#] like this.
_ _ _ This is at the 4th [N] fret.
We're borrowing the 4th fret, _ bringing in _ the middle finger to the G string this time. _
And then bringing the ring finger to the D string at the 6th fret.
That was the middle finger at the 5th fret.
And then the 6th fret we're going to bring [C#] in the pinky also. _ _
_ That's D flat _ _ _ major 7. _ _ _
We'll need an F minor 7 and the [D] minor 7 form is [Fm] at the F [G#] minor 7.
[Fm] That's at the 8th fret. _
_ _ [Cm] Borrowing there, bringing in [N] your middle finger to the B string at the 9th fret.
8, 9 and then 10th fret we bring in the ring finger to the [G#] D string.
_ We're going to take that same form up to the [A#m] 13th fret _ _ _ _ _ _ _ for a B minor 7. _
_ _ _ _ _ _ Now for our next chord we're going to be learning how to play _ a D flat 7 suspended 4.
[N] I'm going to borrow the 9th fret, like that.
_ _ Bring in my ring finger to the A string at the 11th fret and bring in my pinky to the
G string at the 11th fret.
[B] _ Just [C#] like that.
[B] _
_ _ [C#] Now you're going to follow that with a D flat 7.
_ Like that.
Now what I did is I removed my [B] pinky.
I had my pinky and my ring [G#] finger at the 11th fret.
Remove the pinky and bring in your _ middle [F] finger to _ the [C] 10th fret on the [C#] G string.
And that's a D flat 7 chord.
_ _ _ _ _ Now we need one more 7 suspended 4 and that's going to be at the 11th fret played [C#m] this way.
[F#] _ _ Like that. _
_ _ [G#] _ [C#] _ _ [F#] _ _ _
[Cm] That's A flat 7 [C#] _ _ [F#] _
suspended 4.
_ _ Now _ I'm strumming that from the A string. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ [C] _ We also need an A flat major chord which is going to be played this way.

_ _ _ _ [N] _ This is a _ B flat minor 7.
[C#] _ _
Now [N] what I'm doing is I'm barring _ _ everything.
I'm butting up against the A string and barring everything below it.
And then I'm going to bring my thumb over to get the low E string at [A#m] the 6th fret.
_ _ And that's the B flat minor 7. _ _ _
Now for an A flat minor [Gm] 7 I'm simply going to [D#m] lower that to [F] the [G#m] 4th fret. _ _ _
Like that.
Okay, so now we have A flat _ minor 7. _ _ _ _ _ _
And you know what?
