This is a new instrument by Romero Creations.
Pepe Romero and I did together and it's called an ST concert because the ST stands for
soprano, tenor and concert.
What we did is we took all the attractive elements of the three different sizes and put them together.
For example, the concert is the most popular size.
It sells about five times as many as tenors and ten times as many as sopranos.
So the scale is a concert scale, which is very easy for young people to play and people with big hands.
It's right in the middle.
The overall length of the instrument is a soprano,
which is the most portable of the three.
And one thing that we all love about
ukuleles is that it's super portable and the more portable it is, the more likely you'll take it with you everywhere you go.
What's most amazing about this is it has a full tiny tenor body.
It's identical to the tiny tenor.
So it has the same bracing, the same size, a big sound hole, the big sound board.
No waste.
So we have more cubic volume inside of the body, a reverse fan bracing on the front.
So the sweet spot moves.
The bridge is placed in the sweet spot because we have the
12 frets to the body instead of the 14 frets to the body like a tiny tenor.
So this instrument is the length of a soprano, but it has the sound of a
[G]
tenor.
