[G] The unique design [Eb] of the Tiny Tenor is a thoughtful blend of aesthetics and function.
Pepe and I wanted to take the attractive qualities of the ukulele a step further, particularly
its sound and portability.
The tenor ukulele has the biggest sound and the concert ukulele is the most popular size.
We tried to fit a full-scale tenor ukulele into a concert-sized instrument without [N] compromising its sound.
We did this by minimizing parts of the instrument that didn't contribute to sound, like the
headstock which is as short as possible, and maximizing the parts that did.
For example, the sound hole is a little larger [Eb] to let sound out of the body and it's closer
to the neck, which makes the soundboard larger.
We eliminated the waist, which increases the cubic volume of the body and also reduces
the overall stiffness of the instrument.
Reverse fan bracing allows the center of the soundboard to resonate more freely.
The result was everything we could have hoped for and more.
The overall length of the Tiny Tenor is that of a concert ukulele, 23 inches, yet it retains
the full tenor scale from nut to saddle of 17 inches.
This recording-quality instrument [Ab] is handcrafted entirely of solid wood and sounds amazing.
