The Bushwackers : Ryebuck Shearer (live 1984) chords
Start Jamming...
Over the years there have been a couple of dozen bushwhackers [A] and a variety of reasons.
Not all of them could be here tonight.
However, to celebrate tonight, there's a very, very [Eb] strong cross-section of bushwhackers.
I'd like to introduce them to you one by [Ab] one.
One of the most [Eb] recent bushwhackers is a fiddle player, [N] Danny Burr.
[G] A little less recent is [F] another fiddle player, Michael Harris.
[D]
[Eb] A superb, moldy, amebulous, Louis Lutheran.
[N]
Another guest tonight is one of the founders, one of the originals, Jarred Wazinski.
[G] And now to the current line-up.
Recently the band has added a new dimension to its music with [Eb] the addition of keyboards.
Playing the [Eb] keyboards is Mario Gregory.
[G]
On drums, a guy [Gb] who started with the Goat Band and will probably resume the [D] career with them, Robbie Ross.
Another moldy, amebulous, Colonel Lee.
[N] On guitar, [Abm] as well as my right, a man who's improved [D] the sound of pretty well [Gm] every Australian band over the years
and [Abm] a lot of [Gm] Australian recordings, Tommy Emmanuel.
On [Eb] bass [Dm] guitar, a man who, apart from [Ab] being a superb [G] musician, has also done a hell of a lot.
Picking the band together and doing a lot of the recordings.
[N]
And finally, in tonight's [G] collection, the foremost new-wave microphone [G] player in the world.
[D]
Dave Newton.
[G] The Bushwhacker.
I'm
[N] [G]
[A] working from the South End in my business field
And when me shares they're probably still
It's 100 a day, [G] I am very often [E] ill
Of course I'm the buyback sharer
There's [G] a bloke on the board, I heard him say
That I couldn't share [D] a two million cheaper date
He and me, we're women, fine day mates
[G] I'll stand the wait, [D] I'll prove I'm the buyback sharer
[G] If I don't [E] share a date before I go
[G] It's shares and stone [A] and forever [D] I'll throw
[G] And I'll never open, so leave the take another blow
Till I prove I'm the [E] buyback [D] sharer
[G]
I've seen a lot of [E] bands [D] play
For [Em] instance, the Ryback [C]
Shearer
[G] Now, as far as [Em] I'm concerned, we're the [E] only ones that I've ever [G] seen
Who make that into [E] a [G] meaningful song
And that isn't anything to do with [D] the lyrics
[G] Droving or shearing [C] or [D] whatever [Em] Bushwhack entail
Was [G] really very hard exacting work
So entertainment was meant to be real entertainment
A real blowout
[A] And [D] for whatever [G] reason, the chemistry in this [F] band has [G] always worked
And the people who have come into [D] the band have always added to that thing
So I mean, [G] the band has always performed at its full capacity
[E] And given all of its [F] emotions to its [G] audience
[B] [D] [G]
We are the [G] shearing
It's nothing but a
[Gb] [G] work is handed out
It's [D] always first to pass
[G] When it comes to shearing sheep, [C] well, these poor asses
But they'll never be [D] a Ryback [G] Shearer
And if I [E] don't share a take [G] before [E] I go
[G] We'll share and stone and forever [D] I'll throw
And [G] I'll never open, so [C] leave the take another [D] blow
[G] Till I prove I'm the [E] Ryback
[G] Shearer
One [D] fine day, folks, and I won't [Gb] say [G] when
I'll get up on this pile of [D] arse and [A] march right into the [G] pit
While the ringers cheer and I yell that [Am] I'll be shearing today
I'll prove [B] I'm the [D] Ryback [G] Shearer
And if I don't share a take before [E] I go
[G] We'll share and stone [A] and forever [D] I'll throw
[G] And I'll never open, so [C] leave the take another [D] blow
Till I [G] prove I'm the [D] Ryback [G] Shearer
And if I [E] don't share a take before I [G] go
We'll share and [Ab] stone [A] and forever I'll [D] throw
And [G] I'll never open, so [C] leave the take another [G] blow
Till I prove I'm the [D] Ryback Shearer
