[E] [B] Yeah, we've been out here writing a lot [E] of songs.
The tree fell [A]
over.
[C] Trying [G] to write a lot of songs anyway.
Yeah, more like trying.
It's a process for sure.
There's a lot of good songs that come out of it, but I would say, you know, the majority of the songs end up being kind of, well, what would you say?
Bad songs.
You'd just go straight to bad, huh?
[C] [G] Goats, goats, goats, [D] goats, goats, goats, goats, [G] goats, goats, goats, goats.
This is where it gets good.
[C] Goats, goats, goats, goats, goats.
Sometimes Joe brings a [F#] song to me that he thinks is really good, and he plays it for me, and that's when he realizes [G] it's not that good.
Well, yeah, here's the one.
[C] This song came to me [G] in the middle of a [D] night in a dream.
I forgot to write it [D] down, so this is all [G] I have of it.
Usable?
[G#] Yeah, no, probably not.
I'm not sure why we have a song about goats.
They're the best animal to represent goat culture.
Like, they're the goats, get it?
Sometimes Justin plays these songs, and maybe they're not, you know, perfect.
[D] I just found out [G] pine needles are [N] pokey.
Think the kids will like that?
They may have a good [G] idea in them somewhere.
Well, some say banjo's for the [C] folks that don't [G] have no brain.
I say it's for [Bm] those that can tolerate [G] the pain.
That's it.
That's funny.
Usually it's just not a [D] very complete [C] song.
Most times it doesn't work.
[G] Banjo walk, banjo talk, banjo eat with a knife and a fork.
That doesn't even rhyme.
[N] Okay, I've got my rhyming dictionary here, and did you know that skin rhymes with [C] genuine?
Sometimes they end up being kind of absurd topics.
And the birds that sing are so beautiful.
[F] And my MacBook Pro [C] with the 13-inch retina display is so beautiful.
[G] Well, it's just goats.
It's just all about goats.
Oh, right.
Okay, now I see.
I just wrote goats like 13 times.
So I have to write better songs than this.
That was an example of a failure.
I'd say maybe one in ten songs end up being what we would call album songs.
[C] [D] See, [G]
this is what I'm talking about.
A lot of bad [D] songs lead to a good song.
[G] One good one, maybe.
I'm [F] going hiking.
[C] Out on the trail.
Won't you do [G] me a favor?
And save [C] my mail?
Save the whales.
Get [F] some bread.
Some of those bad songs end up having one verse or maybe even one line that we actually do use in a good song.
You got a song.
[C] Yeah, I got a song.
Yes, you do.
[G] I got a song.
Oh, you got a song.
It's called [C] Jamboree.
Oh, Jamboree.
Hey!
[F] Pick it now, Cricket.
[G] I got a song.
You got a song.
Yeah, I [C] got a song.
Yes, you do.
[G] I got a song.
Oh, you got a song.
It's called [C] Jamboree.
Oh, Jamboree.
Hey!
