Welcome to Vanderbilt.com. This is in response to a request for Slow Death by the Flamin' [D#] Groovies.
They were a band from San Francisco in the [N]
late 60s and early 70s.
And Slow Death was a song they put out as a kind of a single in, I think it was 1972.
It's a very cool song and they're actually a great band.
If you're not familiar with them, you may know their single Shake Some Action.
That's probably a big number, but it's worth checking out.
Anyway, in this lesson I'm going to cover all the aspects of the song.
In Part 1, I'll do a sort of a condensed playthrough in which I'll cover all the parts of the song in order,
but not every piece is going to be played through.
And then I'll cover the basic chords for the verses and chorus.
In Part 2, I will do the solo.
And then in Part 3, I'll do the outro and the slide parts that are played throughout most of the [F] song.
So, without [Bm] further ado, let's get started.
