Hey y'all
[E]
Gonna run through a really quick lesson on
Shambhala because there's only really
[D] [A] [N] three chords to it and
I guess the the sort of intro riff is the riff that goes throughout the song and that's the one that I
Guess gives people trouble, but it's really not as in typical fashion of pop songs
It's not as complicated as it sounds so it starts with this [A#] little in fact this this is I think
I'm pretty sure this is tuned to
The recording that they did that three dark [N] night did so I have no idea what?
What's the guy's name?
Stevenson they got the guy who actually wrote it
BJ Stevenson something [A] like that, but I don't know [D] what key he did it in but this is what they did it
So we're gonna do that one because there's just a sort of will no more
So it [C#] starts with this little
[D] [E]
Right, [D] [A]
[D] [E] [D]
[A] [C#] it's not so difficult really so it starts on the a string at the fourth fret and
[F#] Then it goes to an open D string and then D at [C#m] the second
[D]
[E] [G] In fact when you do that [G#] when you are doing that D at the second fret just go into an E shaped chord
So do it like this because I think it's [D] easier
[E] Because
[Em] [E]
you have to hit that
Full E strong when you [C#] do it
[D] [E] Right [B] just do that ten times till you [C#m] got that
[D] [E] I mean, I suppose [C#] you could do it
[D] [E]
You [C#] could [D] do it
[E] And really [N] quickly switch to an E shape, but it's it's just simpler to do it this way
In fact in the video that I did for it.
I don't even remember how I did but I should have done it this way
[D] [E]
So hit a full E chord and then just kind [B] of come back up on those [C#] high string
[D] [E] So
[C#] [E] [D]
[G] [D]
it goes into a [A] D chord with an open high open E [C#] string
[D] [E] high
[D]
E string open
[C#m] [A]
[C#m] right so it's it's [D] a
[E]
[D]
[C#m] [A] so that that [A#] last little part is a
string at the fourth and then
D and G strings of the second [A] and an open a string
Right [C#m]
back to an a chord
[A] So [D] [E]
[D] [A]
the second [F#] time through it does almost the same thing except you don't do [A] this [D] part you just [E] go
[C] And do a [C#] real slow
[D] [E]
Right [D]
[G] [C#m] [A]
[C#] [D] [E]
[D] [A]
[C#] and on an a [D] chord
[E]
[D] [A] [D] [E]
[D] [A]
[D#] Now you got to get the rhythm down because the second time through it
It sounds like the rhythm is messed up, but it's not if you count through it.
It's just [D] fine [E] and
[D] [G] [A]
[D] [E] [D] [A]
The verses are a million of those and that just goes into
And even though the chorus oh is the same thing as the verse the only part that's different is
A [G] [D] and then D
[A]
Just just a indeed
[D]
[Em] [A] [E]
[D] [A] [D] [E]
[Dm] [A]
[N] That goes back to that those are the only parts to it.
There's no little left turns or anything else like that
to mess you up
But if you have any trouble, [G] let me know but that is the whole thing.
I don't think I have any trouble if you just
Work on it just a little bit
[N]
