[E] [A] [Bm]
Come on, is there [A] anybody in there?
Just [G] nod if you can hear me.
[Em] [Bm] Is there anyone at home?
Come on, now.
[A] I hear you're feeling, now, [G]
like an [Em] easy thing.
And get [Bm] you on your feet again.
We like you,
under [A] the information.
[G]
Just the basic [Em] facts.
[Bm] And you shall beware of it.
[D]
There is no pain you [A] are receiving.
[D]
A distant ship's moored on [A] the horizon.
[Em] [C]
You are only coming through [G] in waves.
[C] Your lips move, but I can't hear [G] what you're saying.
[D] When I was a child, I [A] had a fever.
[D] My hands felt just like two [A] balloons.
[Bm] [C] Now I've got that feeling [G] once again.
I can't explain it, you will [C] not understand.
This is not how [G] I am.
[A]
[C] [G] Every girl [D] comes to me now.

Are [A] you alive?
[G] [C]
Every [G] girl comes to [D] me now.
[Bm] Okay, okay, okay, okay.
Just a [A] little pain,
[G]
[B] [Em] that [Bm] you may feel a little sick.
Can you stand up?
I do [A] believe it's working.
[G] That'll keep you going through [E] the show.
[B] Come on, it's time to go.
[Bm]
[D] There is no pain you [A] are receiving.

[D] When I was a child, I [A] caught a fleeting glimpse.
[D]
Out of the corner of [A] my eye,
[G] [C]
I turned to look, but it was [G] gone.
I cannot put my finger [C] on it now.
The child has grown, [G] the dream is gone.
[A] But I [C] have [G] become comfortably [D] numb.

What's up Rock fans, [A] how are you?
The Wall is a conceptual album
that tells the story of the life and decadence of a [D] fictional character called Pink.
[C] Every trauma and bad experience in Pink's life
is figuratively represented by another brick
that he adds [G] to the wall
that he is building to isolate himself from everything and everyone.
[C] In this story, Pink is a rock star
and [G] when he arrives at the song Comfortably Numb,
Pink's wall is already [D] completed
and the character finds himself in such a down state
[A] that he can barely move.
But Pink has a show scheduled
and his [D] staff is desperate
seeing that in these conditions he will not [Am] be able to take the commitment.
So they bring a kind [C] of doctor
who applies a drug to Pink through an injection
that will theoretically make Pink [G] feel better
and be able to [C] do the show.
Stumbled by the drug, Pink feels more or less
[G] like he felt once when he was a [A] child
and had a very high fever that made him delirious.
Who [G] idealized The Wall was the bassist Roger Waters
and has a lot of himself in the [D] character Pink.
So much so that, according to Roger himself in interviews
some parts of [A] Comfortably Numb are autobiographical
like the fever he had when he was a child
[D] that made him feel like his hands were two balloons
and having had to [Am] take an injection [A] once to get on stage
[B] that left [C] him completely stunned.
In addition to Roger, [Em] there is also a lot of [G] Sid Barrett in the character Pink.
He was the [C] first guitarist and founding member of Pink Floyd
but ended up [G] going crazy due to drug abuse
and had to leave the band.
[A] The character Pink is practically a mix [G] between Roger [C] Waters and Sid Barrett.
[G] But leaving a little bit of the field of [D] information and going to the opinions
I think The [Bm] Wall album is highly identifiable
for everyone who has suffered or [A] suffers from depression
and in my opinion, the song Comfortably Numb
[G] portrays that stage [Em] of depression
where the psychiatrist gives you [B] some sedative drugs
that won't help you solve the problem
but will at most create a new problem, [A] addiction.
And that's it Rock fans!
[G] The translation of this super classic of [E] Rock
was suggested by Flavia Locatelli
[B] through a generous contribution to the channel.
