[D]
[C]
We're going to be [E] using just a few chords in it.
[G] [D] D7 and [G] A [Am] minor 7, which I'm playing this way.
You can play it this way [D] if you like also.
I'll explain that in a minute.
[G]
[Em] G7 and a [C] C7.
[Gm] Okay, so we've got those chords.
What we're going to do, the [F] intro is really two D7s.
We're going to hit the root [D] note and then a down, up, [D] down.
[F] Lift off the strings [D] and then a up.
So it should sound like this.
[G] It's kind of [D] a funk rhythm.
[Bb] So practice that.
I mean, she's finger [Bm] picking it.
[F] If you're more comfortable doing it that way, but it sounds pretty good with this type of rhythm.
All right, [D] so we've got our D7s.
We're going to do that four times.
And [G] again, the intro, consider that [Dm] two because the next [Am] two really starts the song and then
she'll [B] sing, which is one more [G] D7.
So a total of five in the [D] very beginning.
Then we [Ab] switch one time [A] to our A [Am] minor 7.
And [A] the way I'm playing it is the root note here and then I'm resting, barring [Gm] across
the rest of [F] the strings, not playing the [Am] fifth string.
Okay, again, you can play it this way [A] if you're more comfortable with an A bar chord.
You [Gb] can use your ring finger on the fifth string at the [A] seventh fret.
All right, but it's just easier [Am] because you're here to just switch to this.
All right, so we're going to do [A] our A minor 7 really only once.
[C] [F] Now we're back to our D7 for three times.
[D]
[A] Then our A minor 7.
[C] All right, and then back to [F] our D7 for two [D] more times.
This [Bb] is where she changes it and goes to G7.
Now the [G] G7 will be four counts.
[G]
Then [D] D7 for four and back to G7 for four.
Now [Ab] after your second G7, [Abm] you're going to do your jumping off the Tallahassee Bridge,
which is like a little [D] pause.
So we just do a [C] D7, C7, and then start the song over again.
[C]
And starting the song, we're going to do our D7 [D] three time.
D [A] minor 7, [D] D7 three,
[Am]
now a [G] D7 twice, [D]
[E] and to our G7 [G] four, [G] D7 four, G7 four, and [Ab] then
end with [D] [C] Tallahassee [A] Bay.
And then you start it again.
[F] So that is the pattern of the [Gb] whole song.
[G] It just goes completely [Ab] through that way.
[G] So I hope this helps you.
And it's a great way to practice your seventh chords and a different way of playing a minor chord.
So, hope
