The guitar that I'm using for this tutorial [Gb] is tuned [Eb] standard [Gb] E A D [Eb] G B [N] E so that it is easy for you to learn.
_ _ However, if you decide to play along with the original recording, you will have to tune down to E flat as I did.
_ _ This guitar is tuned standard [E] E A [Em] D G B E.
_ _ _ And this [N] song has the same chord progression as Paco Bell's Canon in D.
_ _ But we will be playing the song in C major to keep it easy.
_ Our chords will be [C] C, _ _ G, _ [G] _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ A [Am] minor, _ _ _ _ _ [Em] E minor, _ _ _ _ _ [F] F, _
_ _ _ _ [C] C, _ _ _ _ _ [F] F, _ _ _

_ _ In order to get the strumming sound of the song, we'll [N] play the chords this way.
With the C, _ we'll start with the A string, pick the [C] A string, _ the D string, _ _ and then strum downward. _
_ _ Like that. _ _ _
_ [Gb] _ _ _ _ _ [N] We'll go to the G chord and we'll play it this way. _
Picking [G] the low E string _ and then follow through with the strum. _ _
Like that.
[Bb] So _ [C] it's_ _

[Em] Then we'll go to the A minor chord, _ strum the A string [A] first, _ _ the D [Am] string, and then the chord. _ _
