[G#] Hi everybody, I'm Mike Reno from Loverboy.
Thank you for joining me on this flight
[Cm]
Loverboy [G#]
[F#] [E] [D#]
was actually the one of the first groups to send in videos
To MTV the first week that they were [B] up and running
[F#]
[D#m]
[B]
I'll [D] tell you what we became like like the number one [F#] MTV band [B] right off the bat
I mean, you know, it was a new format
So people really [G#] didn't know where it was gonna go but MTV just completely, you know
It took it turned us into visual superstars because you know, you play a concert every night
You play all year long [G#m] those people see yet.
They recognize you but as soon as they get you on television
I think it's a whole different [F#] ballgame the 80s to me were positive lyrics high energy fun party good times
Loverboy was one of the top 10 bands in the world
So anything you can imagine a bunch of 25 year olds doing just times it by 10 and [G] you see how great it was
[F#] And the 80s were great for us.
We really had we really enjoyed ourselves
Turn me loose.
I think is the biggest crowd favorite
[C#] [E]
the intro when they hear the keyboards [F#] and then the bass sneaks in and
Then it [B] just rolls and the [F#] big scream and everybody [A] sings the words turn me.
This is a great fun song
[F#m] Basically about [A] having enough you've had it with the boss
You've had it with [E] whatever and you [B] and you just want to go and have fun
And a lot of [F#m] our songs tend to kind [A] of generate around having [B] fun
[F#m]
We
[E]
[F] [F#] [D#] do between 80 and 100 shows here a lot of them are in the [F#m] summertime
We do a lot of state fairs County fairs
[N] all kinds of festivals
Really fun stuff and we usually play with a lot of different bands that we know REO speedwagon cheap trick
Survivor we're always out [B] there with groups that we know Kansas.
We play with a lot
[F#]
Festivals are fun.
You know people are just out there to have a good time giant stage good weather
It's always always fun for us
[E]
But [C#] [F#]
the singers that kind of really got [E] me influenced at the beginning where people like Stevie Wynwood Paul [F#] Rogers
[F#m] Grand funk Creedence Clearwater Led [Bm] Zeppelin
I mean I was into I was into those singers really sang and I [E] just you know
I had to sing a lot of those songs.
I was [F#] a singer.
I started young.
I started playing and doing shows
