was actually the one of the first groups to send in videos
To MTV the first week that they were [B] up and running

_ I'll [D] tell you what we became like like the number one [F#] MTV band [B] right off the bat
I mean, you know, it was a new format
So people really [G#] didn't know where it was gonna go but MTV just completely, you know
It took it turned us into visual superstars because you know, you play a concert every night
You play all year long [G#m] those people see yet.
They recognize you but as soon as they get you on television
I think it's a whole different [F#] ballgame the 80s to me were positive lyrics high energy fun party good times
_ _ Loverboy was one of the top 10 bands in the world
_ So anything you can imagine a bunch of 25 year olds doing just times it by 10 and [G] you see how great it was
[F#] And the 80s were great for us.
We really had we really enjoyed ourselves
Turn _ me loose.
I think is the biggest crowd favorite

_ the intro when they hear the keyboards [F#] and then the bass sneaks in and
Then it [B] just rolls and the [F#] big scream and everybody [A] sings the words turn me.
This is a great fun song

We play with a lot

Festivals are fun.
You know people are just out there to have a good time giant stage good weather

the singers that kind of really got [E] me influenced at the beginning where people like Stevie Wynwood Paul [F#] Rogers
_ [F#m] Grand funk Creedence Clearwater Led [Bm] Zeppelin
I mean I was into I was into those singers really sang and I [E] just you know
I had to sing a lot of those songs.
_ I was [F#] a singer.
I started young.
I started playing and doing shows

[A#] _ _ Everybody's working for the weekend [Gm] and that sets up your weekend and a lot of [D#] radio stations still use it.

It's so fast.
It gives it [Cm] the audience a chance to kind of join in because they always take the hot girls in love [G#] part _ _ _ _

Doing [G#] fun things and just jumping on barrels girls and cars and just all the good [D#] so hot girls in love fabulous

And we put it in the in the set
So it's like song [D] one right through the encore [E] the crowd and everything in the big hall, you know
25 years old just singing great and [F] having a good time [E] all of everybody's favorite songs plus a few kind of
_ Concert songs that we threw in we don't even play some of those songs now
So it's a real great experience
You know you [F#] throw the CD in your car and [Bm] by the time you're about an hour [A] and a half away _
You've got the full the full vibe of a loverboy concert in in the early [B] to mid 80s

Canada we won [E] eight Juno Awards, which is the equivalent to [B] Grammy [D] Awards

The [Dm] MC [E] that for that show was Burton Cummings who's famous from the guess [Am] who?
_ And it was loverboy this and loverboy was being called on to the stage so much when he [B] broke for a commercial
He said we'll be right [Em] back to the loverboy awards

[E] You know and I remember holding one of them up and said mom this one's for you, you know
I mean that was fabulous.
