[G]
[Ebm] I'm Justin, I look after Kirk.
[G] [Ab] These are the guitars I have to deal with every day.
They all need [Ebm] restringing every day just because of the amount of running around they do.
Even if the only place has one number, [F] it's had it by the following day.
[C]
[Ebm]
These [G] two go with us everywhere.
[Fm] These are the first two we [Eb] take.
And these are like [Bm]
the spider, [C] obviously because of [Ab] the spider.
[C] And this one, [Bb] caution, good caution.
[G]
[Cm] [Bb] [Ebm] [Db]
[Ab] Thirty or forty of these we've gone through during the tour.
[Bbm] [B] Still got all the sweat on from [Gb] last night, it's about to [Bb] get cleaned up.
[Eb]
Guitars to smash.
This one has a bolt on neck, slightly different from the rest,
so that when he smashes the neck, I can [Bb] replace that without trashing the whole body.
He's attacked with routers, saws, chisels, hammers, huge Johnson bars.
[Ab] They tend to make a mess.
[G] [Eb]
Sometimes he'll throw one and it'll come down and just smash here.
Sometimes it'll just take the top off, in which case I can glue it back together.
If the fingerboard comes off, I can glue that back on.
But if there's any serious structural damage, it ain't gonna hold you for the following evening.
[F]
[Ab] This is one, as you can [Eb] see, it had one repair.
Second night it had another repair, third night, irreparable.
It's now a paperweight, [B]
or a Frankencaster, made up of so many [E] pieces.
[Gm] [Db]
[E] This is a 52' mummy [F] guitar.
This is a 1949 [D]
mummy guitar.
[B] This was near about a third of the way into the tour.
It's from the original [Ebm] poster.
And it's the only guitar I've got that isn't black.
[F] This was in an actual mummy movie.
The mummy was playing this [Gbm] guitar.
[B] Luigi guitar.
This has its original spelling mistake, that I've [Gb] kept quiet with up until about [B] now.
This glows in the dark.
So when it's [Ebm] clean it does anyway.
What is that?
[Ab] What is that?
This is the latest and greatest.
[Gb] This is the new toy.
[Ebm]
This is the Wavecaster.
Cool guitar.
Yeah, ASP made it for us with the empty, loose body.
[Eb] I was going to fill it up with my [Gb] own urine.
[Eb]
Present it as some sort of art piece.
[Ebm] But then I couldn't figure out how to [Eb] preserve the urine.
It's stale.
And then we sat on the bus and Zack and I decided what to put in it.
And this was the idea we came up with.
My guitar tech, Justin, suggested maybe putting this blue stuff [F] in with oil.
Like those wave machines [Abm] that you see.
[Ebm] I went to Kirk with the idea, he liked it.
It's the [Bb] goofiest concept I've ever seen.
[Ebm] That's used right at the very end of the show.
I use this on the [Bb] most evilest of all evil [Ab] songs, Am I Evil.
Because it has no tremolo, [Gb] and it only has a single [Ebm] pickup, we're kind of limited on what songs it will do.
[Eb] I like the juxtaposition.
Playing a really dumb looking guitar, during a real heavy song.
And it sounds good.
It sounds good.
