[Gm] Want to talk about this one for a second is it's named Carl [Eb] right right?
Carl
Carl [N] for
[Gb] Carlson Boulevard
[Ebm] You have a huge [Eb] room.
So there was such a big space that I thought you know, it'd be cool
really fucking [Db] rock [Eb] star like
Let's take the garage from Carlson and put it in this room
Just put [Gb] it there.
I mean we have [Eb] everything else.
We got [Ebm] Doris's head
You know ride the lightning banner, we've got all this [Eb] stuff
Historical [Db] stuff.
Let's get the garage and [Eb] take it apart and put it back together in here [Db] [B] and it never came to [Eb] fruition
It was kind of stupid.
Yeah, whatever [Db] and [Gbm] come to find out that they later
Pull down the [Bb] garage [Eb] so bummed we went to Carlson [Ebm] wasn't too long ago
They were super kind set up the place [Eb] all [Db] that
[B]
[Am] [Bb]
[Eb]
Lightning
Friends from way back
they're all still the same [Bb] and super cool [Ebm] and
Talking with the [B] old punk rock buddy [Ab] of mine Andy [Db] Anderson.
He was a
Van [B] called attitude [Abm] adjustment.
[Db] He said yeah, you know what I kept some [B] of the wood [F] really
[Eb] [Db] All master [Eb] puppets was written right where you're sitting because that's what the wise one [Ebm] so the garage is right there
[Eb] Whoever's got the garage, [Db] please return [Bm] it
You have [Eb] the garage
So he grabs probably [Db] eight [Ebm] pieces of wood.
[Eb] We're all a little different obviously [Db] Ken Lawrence
[Gbm] Has done guitars for me before [Bb] and is a [Eb]
[Ebm] meticulous somewhat [B] anal
[Ab] Luthier [Db] I knew he could he could work with that wood
[B] [Abm] But I did I wanted it [Db] rustic on it garage [B] was
Artists that [F] we work with if you give them too much [Eb] direction
And it's not their art [Ebm] in my opinion.
You like [Eb] an artist because you know what he does
Same with Kent.
I know as far as woods.
I know he'll make this thing
[B] playable smooth [G] workable
[Db] So I wasn't worried about [Eb] the finish of this, you know
I was worried about [Ebm] him first of all making it a little too clean [Eb] and that he did not
He's wire brushed it to where it is is really
[E] You know, there's no splinters [Eb] and but you [B] feel the wood you feel the [Bbm] grain
I mean and [Ebm] it's almost like grooves and vinyl, you [Em] know Ken is very
[B] into meaning and drew a [E] story through a story about
What he thought would be [Eb] fitting for this historical [G] piece, it's [B] multi-layered [E] obviously
cliff [G] graced that garage so
Here's the three of us and this is cliff
so Kirk the Ripper Hammett
[Eb] Who has the obvious sickle?
[G] That's Lars with his lightning drumsticks, and that's me [Eb] just
[G] Big and ominous I guess [E] and
[G] Quiet and [Gm] saying no, I don't need lightning [Am] bolts or sickles.
[C] I'm just shit
And then this is cliff, you know portrayed [Am] as Orion the Sun [Em] across the bay.
There's the bridge
[C] Us coming to join him [Em] in San Francisco writing [A] master of puppets cliff passing
[Em] Still [Cm] watching over us in the sky [Em] as the Orion
[A] Constellation
This is the garage.
This [C] is this is
Supposed to represent the garage and [Em] the four of us going in there and kind of being in there forever [N] in our minds
That's a pretty heavy [A] story
No doubt, but not only that There's [G] three one
three and then the two
posts for [A] the
Entrance so three one three two
31 32 Carlson Boulevard, which was another level that I was like, uh [E]-huh.
Okay
hand
[G] engraved on the
Kennedy dollars our birth years are on here and it's I [Eb] can't have [G] my glasses but
There's four of us and I know that one's cliff right there
[Em] There's also another piece on the inside here
[G] Oh, [Eb] yeah again [G] the year we got together and [Em] wrote master puppets, so [G] yeah
Magnet that's a magnetic
[B] There's no [Em] screen cover easy access for Chad or whoever needs [G] to change a battery
Slightly brilliant [Em] and then you've got nails etc.
It's on the other nails because I like my nails.
There's nine of them
[B] No, that's kind of a funny thing.
Didn't someone initially say
Oh get [G] rid of the man.
Well, yeah, he thought oh you're gonna snag yourself on them and well, yeah, maybe [A] I will
[Eb] Some of the guitars that you work so hard on and [Am] put so [Eb] much work into and then you get it in it
Doesn't sound as good as this [A] one and [Eb] it's the crappy guitar that you you know, you don't like [E] the lookup
But you know, it sounds great.
But [Eb] no this sounds this sounds really great.
I mean right now I'm using it in mod
Most of the clean songs I do whether it's nothing else matters or one or
Sandman when there's picking at the beginning or something.
[E] It's usually done on a Ken Lawrence guitar [Ab] because it's got such [D] [Db] a
Great sound to it in the clean department, [Eb]
especially
[Fm] [Gb] [Db]
[Gb] [E] everything together
[Eb] builds up into a [Db] sound so
[Ebm] For [Bbm] myself, I like you kind of using [E] the same stuff that I do in my other guitars
[Gb] [Db] Including [Bb] that is the is the wood [Gb] mahogany is pretty [Bb] much the wood of [Gb] always loved its [Db]
dance
[Bbm] It survives well on [Ab] the road.
[Eb] It's somewhat [Gb] heavy like [Eb] the riffs
[Bb]
It feels good [Bbm] and [Gb] it's it's it's [Bb] consistency to me and [Gb] then the ebony [Db] fretboard
[Bb] That's the other thing [Db] fretboard has a lot to do with the [Gb] sound and how it [A] projects the sound or vibrates
[Eb] And obviously some of the stuff down here.
I think what he had to do.
He had to do something special on this
the bridge piece
When you sink it he was he was afraid because this woods
Quite a little bit softer quite a bit softer.
He was afraid it wasn't gonna be so stable
So he put he doweled in some really heavy pieces of a certain kind of really dense wood
So this would not be moving so you can design your sound around one guitar
And love it and you plug in a different [F] guitar and [Eb] you don't love it as simple as that
You can make a great sound out of kind of anything you want
You just need to be consistent with it.
Apparently you can make a great sound out of a garage and I just mean [Abm] standing in it
Yeah, [G] I mean you really are [F] you're making a noise out of the garage [Ab] with this.
[G] It is pretty cool
Yeah, yeah pretty [Eb] awesome and and have this
Out on tour with us and a part of [E] us did extra cool
[Eb] [E] [Eb]

I mean right now I'm using it in mod _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Most of the clean songs I do whether it's nothing else matters or one or
_ _ Sandman when there's picking at the beginning or something.
[E] It's usually done on a Ken Lawrence guitar [Ab] because it's got such _ [D] [Db] a
Great sound to it in the clean department, [Eb] _
especially
[Fm] _ [Gb] _ _ _ [Db] _ _ _
_ _ [Gb] _ _ _ _ [E] everything _ together
[Eb] _ builds up into a [Db] sound so
[Ebm] For [Bbm] myself, I like you kind of using [E] the same stuff that I do in my other guitars
[Gb] _ [Db] Including [Bb] that is the is the wood [Gb] mahogany is pretty [Bb] much the wood of [Gb] always loved its [Db]
dance
[Bbm] It survives well on [Ab] the road.
[Eb] It's somewhat [Gb] heavy like _ _ [Eb] the riffs
[Bb] _
It feels good [Bbm] and [Gb] it's it's it's [Bb] consistency to me and [Gb] then the ebony [Db] fretboard
[Bb] That's the other thing [Db] fretboard has a lot to do with the [Gb] sound and how it [A] projects the sound or vibrates
[Eb] And obviously some of the stuff down here.
I think what he had to do.
He had to do something special on this
_ the bridge piece
When you sink it he was he was afraid because this woods
_ Quite a little bit softer quite a bit softer.
Apparently you can make a great sound out of a garage and I just mean [Abm] standing in it
_ _ Yeah, [G] I mean you really are [F] you're making a noise out of the garage [Ab] with this.
[G] It is pretty cool
Yeah, yeah pretty [Eb] awesome and and have this
Out on tour with us and a part of [E] us did extra cool
_ [Eb] _ _ [E] _ [Eb] _ _ _ _ _ _
_ [N] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
