I Talk to the [Bbm] Wind, performed [Eb] by Giles, Giles and Fripp, from The Young Person's Guide to King Crimson.
[Bb] I [Eb] think this is going to be a bit of a [Ab] history lesson.
[Bb]
[Db] Giles, Giles and Fripp [E] is the band from [Ab] 1967 and 1968, [Bb] which in [Ab] 1969 grew into King Crimson.
[Bbm] As the name [Db] implies, it started as a trio [B] with the two Giles [D] brothers, Michael and Peter, and Robert [Ab] Fripp.
[Db] Halfway through 1969, they were joined by Ian MacDonald and his then-girlfriend Judy Dybal, who sings vocals on this recording.
[Eb] Ian also brought [B] with him his songwriting partner, [Db] Peter Sinfield.
So at this [F] point, all of the future King Crimson, with the exception of Greg [E] Lake, and plus two people who would later go their separate [D] ways, were now [C] actually in the same group.
[Bm] [Bbm] [F] Peter Giles had set [Gb] up a basic [Dbm] home studio in Bronzebury [Eb] Road in London, a rare [Dbm] thing at the time, and in the second [Db] half of [Eb] 1968, they recorded what were effectively a series of home studio [B] recordings.
[Eb] These had more recently been released [G] as the Bronzebury [B] Tapes.
[Db] One of the pieces they recorded [B] was this early version [F] of I Talk to the Wind, which was included on the very first King Crimson [B] compilation, The Young [Db] Person's Guide to King Crimson.
[Bbm] Which in most of the world [Dbm] has never been [Db] reissued since [E] its first vinyl release in [Bbm] 1976, making it a [Dbm] perfect candidate [Ab] for this collection.

So here it is, an early version [C]
of I Talk to the Wind, recorded by Giles, Giles and [Eb] Fripp in 1968, [Bbm] and first [B] released as part of The Young [E] Person's Guide to King Crimson compilation [Db] in [Ab] 1976.
