Chords for Journey - Don't Stop Believing - Super Easy Beginner Acoustic Guitar Lessons

A really good buddy of mine, _ a guitar student and friend who I teach, _ _ _ asked me to teach this song to him.
And I was thinking, _ I've seen other requests for it, so I was thinking of a way to play it with no bar chords.
Because the original version, you're going to need a lot of bar chords.
So just consider this the easy, strummer version _ of this tune.
So here are the chords that we're going to rock.
We're going to [E] play a C chord. _ _
_ _ _ _ [B] We need a G chord.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Abm] _ _ _ [B] _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ We need _ _ an A minor [Dbm] chord. _ _ _
_ [A] We need an F chord, which you can play this way.
_ _ _ _ _ [C] If you can play it as a bar [A] chord, to get that low note in there, it's going to [A] sound better.
_ _ _ _ _ [B] And we need an E minor [Abm] chord. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ [F] So here's what we're going to do. _
I think the easiest thing to do is, I'm just going to talk about the verse first.
_ _ [E] _ _ _ _ _
And 2 and 3 and 4 and we'll give you that _ driving pulse.
You could just 2, 3, [Am] 4, blam, 2.
You could do it that way too.
But I think we're going to _ go_
[Ab] _ _ So we're going to start with a C.
_ Then we're going to go to G.
_ Then we're going to go to A minor.
_ _ Then we're going to go to F.
Check it out.

_ [Db] _ _ _ _ [A] _ _ _
_ _ [C] Just like that.
One more time.

This time I'll play F this [E] way. _ _ _ _

It does [E] C and G.

_ [C] So basically one time it's A minor to F and the other time it's E minor to F.

So here's a cool bass line.
Open E and then 2-4 on the E [C] and then 2 on the A.

[B] _ _ _ _ [Em] And then 4-6-4 [Db] on the A string. _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ [Gb] _ _ [B] _ _
_ [Eb] _ _ [Db] _ _ _ 6-7 _ [B]-0 on the A string, which sounds like a phone number.
[Am] _ _ _ _ _ _ _
[Eb] Then 6-7 _ again, [E] _
open E.
_ _ Starts over.
_ [B] _
_ _ _ Then 4-6 on the A, but then to the 4 on the E string.
_ _ [Ab] _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ [A] _
Or _ _ the [Ab] open A string.
That's the A-2-5.
