And that's the
verse and the chorus and that's it.
It's pretty easy, [B] all right?
So we have the verse first.
The verse goes like this, all right?

And how I play that, and first things first too, the very first part
of the song, [A] the first verse he sings [Bm] through and then when the guitar comes in, what you do is this,
you [E] go open E [Gb] string, second fret [Ab] E string, fourth fret E [A] string, open A, and then you go into here.

So the strumming [G] pattern is this.
I'm going to play it very slow so you can see it,
all right?
So [A] _ it's basically down, up, down, up, down, up, [A] all right?
_ _ [B] But I just emphasize certain
[A] strums so I go _ _ _ _ [D] _ [A] _ _ _
[G] _ _ [E] _ [A] _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ _ _ [E] _ _ [A] _ _
[B] even slower, [A] _ _ _ _ _ [D] _
_ [A] _ _ _ [G] _ _ [E] _ _

[G] So that's the verse, all right?
If I went through each
individual strum, I would confuse myself [B] and mess you guys up as well.
So [G] watch that part of the
video a couple times so you can get it, okay?
The course of [Bb] the song is a little bit [B] different,

The course [N] of the song is a little bit different, okay?
But it's really not bad.
So this is how it goes.

so [B] the strumming pattern in this song is basically down, up, but you put emphasis [Em] on certain strums.
So I know in this lesson it's probably kind of hard to see that.
The best way to learn that is
to play along with the original recording, okay?
And just figure out where those core transitions
are and you will hear the [Gm] emphasis that he puts on certain [Bm] strums, okay?
You just got to listen
really closely.
This is all about training your ear, okay?

musician.
