John Baumann "Gulf Moon" Full Acoustic Performance on The Texas Music Scene chords
Start Jamming...
[Bm] [G] Here now is a very [A]
special full performance from [D] Jack Ingram's songwriter series.
It's John [Em] Bowman doing Gulf Moon.
Gulf [A] Moon's a song I wrote in my [Em] house a few years ago and it's one of those songs I wrote
[E] and rewrote and rewrote probably seven [A] or eight times before I was ever really happy with it.
It just takes you along [D] kind of the seawall in [A] Galveston, talk about the Balinese pier,
[Bm] kind of looking at oil rig [G] refineries at night.
I'm always trying to paint a picture [A] as best I can.
I like [D] to put myself in another person's shoes or in a room somewhere and just take
a note of [A] things, [Bm] just being observant and [G] just kind of talking about them in your [A] own
native tongue, [E] kind of a natural [D] thing.
And it is a goal and I feel like that [Dm] might be when I'm at my best, [F#] hopefully.

They don't care for the carny man or the [B] fortune teller who reads

They just [C#] beeline for a bungalow [F#] where curtains all flutter and candles glow

It's probably time I pack it in, [B] got a glass half full of [D#m] Jameson.
