Jeremy Jordan - Santa Fe (Hollywood) chords
Start Jamming...
I just wanted to say something to you guys.
If you feel lost or stuck, or also experienced, don't be afraid to look back to your dreams as a kid for inspiration.
Because there might be something there waiting for you to rediscover.
Something that could change your life forever.
Because when I was a kid, I was obsessed with the movie Newsies.
I was so obsessed.
I wanted to be just like Jack Kelly.
In fact, you know how kids have actor voices?
My voice was literally just a thick, thick New York accent.
And I've never been to New York my entire life.
I'm from South Texas, I don't know.
So clearly, he impacted me in some way even back then.
And I didn't realize it, but these tiny seeds of a dreamer, and of a charming and [B] outgoing leader were planted back then.
And [Eb] as I grew up, they kind of remained.
[N] I wasn't a dreamer.
I was shy.
I wasn't outgoing.
And I was a loner.
I wasn't a leader.
And then I got cast as Jack Kelly in Newsies.
And as I began to play the role, the seeds that were planted when I was a 9-year-old kid began to slowly grow.
I became Jack more and more.
Jeremy began to change more and more.
And now here I am, standing in front of you guys with the courage to play my own songs,
with the confidence to just be myself on stage and not be some stupid character.
And I can say with full confidence that I've become a leader in the community, to my family.
I'm someone that people look up to.
I would have never imagined that I could be someone like that.
And it's cool to think that it all started when I was an old kid, just sort of dreaming that I could get out of college.
And I got to see Texas and be someone amazing.
So just keep that in mind.
