why haven't you done a concert, you know, before this?

And, uh, I can be honest with you, the fact is that I have always been sort of terrified of these things.
Uh, I love acting, I love being other characters, as you can see from my opening little bit,
which was not a very exaggerated version of my actual [C#] college audition.
Especially not the mom part, that was totally true.

And, uh, and so I love coming out and just taking risks and get to live life through other characters,
and being someone else, and you get to sort of go places that you never allow yourself to go in everyday life.
So the idea of coming out on stage as me was like, well that's kind of boring, that's kind of dumb,
like, what do I have to say?
But then I realized, maybe I do have something to say,
and so I finally bit the bullet and I actually buckled down and now I'm here doing these concerts.
And since I'm here, I'm not really one to half-ass things, so I'm gonna go all the way,
and in addition to burying my soul out on stage, I'm gonna sing a few songs that I wrote.
