[B] This video is the first in [Bb] a three-part series of the song I Surrender All [A] by Jaden Labique.
Jaden's put together a modern rendition of this [B] popular hymn [Bb] and
as best as I can figure out he's using a dad [A]-gad tuning which has been made popular by many [Bb] artists and
in the first part of the three-part series
I'll go over the tuning [B] and the different chord formations and in the second part
[Bb] I'll play it along with his
song playing in the background and in the third
I'll just show how different chord formations could be used to
[Abm] Enhance worship very [B] quietly at the end of the [E] song.
So first thing is the dad-gad tuning we have [D] D
A
D
G
A D
And
Then the very first chord that he's going to play is like a D formation
It's got I'll just refer to the strings by their normal tuning name like [Bb] on the G string
second fret and
the D string the fourth fret
[D]
We're going to move it up a bit we got [C] the
middle finger on the G [D] string fourth fret
the ring finger on the
fifth fret of [G] the D string
[D] [A]
[D] This one [B] is the ring finger on the [G] G [Bb] second fret [E] and the middle finger on the second fret of [A] the D
[D]
And then this chord [B] which I believe is a form of like a B minor [Bm] 7
At the middle finger on the a string [B] second fret and
the ring finger on the G string second fret [D] and
Then [C] this is [D] like a E chord formation
So [C] the E chord formation is [B] starts on the [C] fourth fret and
[Bb] Then the other [G] two fingers are here
And you just move it up [D] to
You
[A] [D]
[Bm] Okay, and the rift that he's [Bb] playing the [C] beginning of the song as [Bb] best I can figure out
It is really like a D [C] chord moved up here to the fourth fret [B] and he's [C] using an [D] alternate
picking [Bb] pattern [B] with the bass string [Bb] [C] and the different strings of the chord formation [A] and I'll play [E] it
very [D] slowly
[C] And
Then he changes it [E] up he [G] has the
[B] Fifth [C] fret going on [Bb] here and [C] then this [B] pattern is straight across
[G]
[D]
[G]
[D] [G] [D]
[A] [D]
[A] [D]
And then for the [C] refrain you [D] have I
surrender all
[G] and
[D] I like to go to [G] this pattern here.
[D] I think he's got a piano doing something like that
[A]
[D]
[G]
And that's it and in the next part of the video I'll play it along with his song
