Now I know what you're saying, I've done this before, why'd you do it again?
Probably because I butchered it the first time I did it.
I was still learning a lot as a musician,
but yeah, I butchered that song.
So I'm going back, kind of doing some songs that I butchered
to kind of redeem myself and really teach it the way it goes.
And thank God for some help for
musicians that I've been taking lessons from just to try to enhance my [Ab] skills.
Because you can never,
I don't care who you are, I don't care what level you're at, you can always learn, grow,
and do more.
So that's what I've been doing, been learning, doing more, growing.
And so I know I
haven't been, I know lately I've been on here, but for a while there I hadn't been on there.
I've just been working on focusing on getting everything straight.
But you know, now I'm kind
of back a little bit and I'm going to start bringing some musicians back.
But let's tackle
this [Db] song.
First, let's pray.
Father God, we come right [B] now knowing that you're great in all your
ways.
And we [Abm] ask, Father God, that you just continue to be [Gb] with us in this lesson, Father
God, as [Db] we continue to grow as musicians.
In Christ Jesus' name we do pray.
Amen.
[E]
[B] [Gb] [Db] [Eb] All right.
So really, let's start off in the key of E flat.
This song can be a little bit tricky,
but if you use your ear, what I've been learning, the lessons I've been taking and stuff,
use your ear and you will realize the stuff that sounds tricky is really not tricky.
It's just in
a different key a lot of times.
So it can kind of psych your mind out like, man, what do they do?
Because they'll flip and go to a totally different key.
So let's tackle that.
We're going to kind of
teach that a little bit.
So we're in E flat [Ab] [Eb]
and the intro is a little bit, but we'll get to that
here in a second.
All right, let's go to [F] E flat's the one, F is a [G] two, [Ab] G is a three, [Bbm] A flat is a four,
[C] B flat is a five, [D] C is a six, D is [Eb] a seven, E flat with the one or the eight.
[Ab]
[Eb] Now [Gb] the intro is like it.
[Db]
[Ebm] [Db] So it starts off on the C sharp.
Let's not even think like we're in E flat.
[Ebm] Let's just, let's get these chords because all they're doing is taking it down half step.
So
we [Db] got C sharp and let's do, let's do D flat.
So let's go with flats.
D flat, [B] A flat, B,
[Ebm] right hand is E flat, G [Bbm] flat, B flat [Gb] and D flat.
[Db]
Then you got, [Gb] so you just,
[Db] you do that twice and then you just take in that G flat to F.
You got that?
But do,
[Ebm] [Db] [Eb]
[Ebm] take it down half steps.
[Dm]
[C] You got C, G, B flat, right hand is [Bb] D, F, [F] A, C.
[Gb] [F] [E]
This is over the B.
You got [B] B, [Gbm] G flat, A.
So just take it down half steps.
[A] D flat, [Dbm] E, A flat, B.
[Gb] [F] [E]
[Eb] Then we're on the,
[Bb] the B flat.
B flat, F, A flat.
Right [Fm] hand is C, [Eb] E flat, G, B flat.
[Gb] [F] [E] [Eb]
[Bbm] [Bb] [Cm]
And then so you do the same
thing.
You're going to go from E flat,
[D] hit that twice to the, [Bb] to that D.
So just take it down
in half [Eb] steps.
[Bb] [Eb]
[B] [Dm] [Gb] [Eb] Take it back up half steps.
[E] [F] [Gb] [Db] [Abm]
[Db] [Gb]
[Bbm] [Abm] [Bb]
[Gb] [B]
