How to Play "So Beautiful" on Piano (taught by 8thHarmonic) chords
Start Jamming...
[Dm]
[C] [Bb]
[G]
[Am]
[Bb] [G]
[Dm]
[Am]
[Bb]
[Am]
[Bb]
Beginning with [E] the right hand, the first chord you're going to play is an inverted Bbmaj7.
[Dm]
That's [F] F, [Am] A, [Bbm] [Dm] Bb, and D.
Second chord,
[F] this is [F] basically F, [Am] A, C, E, [C] or an Fmaj7.
[F]
Next chord [C]
is a G, B, C, and E.
Finally what you're going to do is this here.
[Dm]
You're going to play A, D, and F.
[F] Then you're going to play F, and then play this chord here,
which is a
[G] G, C, and F.
So that last part is putting [Dm] [C]
that whole thing together from the top,
[Dm]
[F]
[C]
[Dm]
[G] and notice I'm putting slight arpeggios on the chords, so I'm really playing the chord from low
to high really fast, one note at a [F] time.
[Dm]
For example, for the first chord you can play it
as an arpeggio, which is a broken chord.
[F] You can do it with the second chord as well.
So you can embellish the chords with arpeggios [G] as you're playing, but that's basically the right
hand in a nutshell.
Your left hand is pretty easy.
You're going to start off playing a simple G.
The next thing you're going to do is play a D and an A.
[D]
That's basically this note here, D,
[A] and an A.
[G] So then [A]
[Gb] play that A again by itself, [A] then play
[Bb] a Bb, [A] then an A again,
[G] then repeat.
[A]
[Bb]
[A] [G]
[A]
Now when putting both hands together, your left and right hand are going to play at the
same time.
So as you start playing the G in the right, or in the left, [Bb] you'll play the first chord
in the [G] right to [Dm]
the next chord.
[Am]
[Bb] Now at this point you play the chord, play the F, [G] then play the next
chord with the left, [F] and then repeat.
[Dm]
Now notice you can play the arpeggio downward as well.
So
for the second chord I played [Am] [F] the chord backwards from high to low really fast
[Dm] to embellish it.
Do it again here, [Am]
[Bb] [F] [Dm]
[Dm]
[Am] and that's pretty much [Bb] it.
[F] [Dm] [G] [Dm]
