Hey guys party money your easy guitar tunes on YouTube
I've got another request and another one of my favorite tunes by one of my favorite artists [Bb] Phil Collins or Genesis for that matter
It's into the into the air [G] tonight
Really really really cool tune a very moody song
It's a very neat song if you can pull it off solo playing it on the guitar
It really goes over [C] well in any situation you're playing and so I play it a little bit different
I play it out of a different set of chords that kind of [F] helps my voice a bit
And I find it also actually helps it helps teaching the song he actually plays it
I believe it's [Bb] C B and D minor, but I actually play it out of a minor, so I'll show you that in a second
Anyway, it still sounds really good to me, and I hope [F] you guys enjoy this one
So there's a couple of different strum patterns, [A] and we'll get into those as well a little bit
Anyway here the chords [Bb] are to in the air tonight the first one is a [Am] minor
And then there's a [G] G
[F] then an F
and [C] then C
So again [Am] the chords are a minor
[G] G [F] [C] and C
Where it's a moody [Eb] song I use that what they call a muted strum
So I'm taking that taking the pad of my hand and muting the strings kind of down the end where the
Right down the end of the [A] strings there where the pegs are
[Am] So I'm kind of laying my hand down it
If you weren't laying your hand down you'd have that rich full sound
But what I'm [A] trying to do is just mute them, and it's just a constant down from
You're stressing every second beat so it's
So you're just hitting the strums [Gb] strings a little bit harder on that on the on the stress beat so it's
[A]
Kind of like that for the [Eb] first part of the song and then at the end of the song in the chorus
I had a bit of a slap strum there
There's a there's a little click on the click on the video there for a slap strum demo if you want as well
And all that is doing is kind of a little combination of both you're kind of muting and slapping at the same time give
it a drum beat
[G] [F] [G]
[Am] [G] [F] And you can just run [G] the regular chords as well
I just find it gives it [Am] a little more flavor when you add these [G] special drum these special strums to
[F] So [G] [Am] practice those drums a little bit and then [C] try to tackle this song with me there
So [F] in the air tonight Phil Collins is a really cool tune.
Let's [A] give her a go guys I
[F]
[A] [D] [F]
[D] [A] Can feel [G] it coming in the [F] air tonight
[G] Hold on
[E] Not been [D] waiting for this moment [F] wrong my life
[G] Hold on
[A] Can you [D] feel it?
[F]
Hold on
[A] Hold on
[E] Well, you told me you were drowning
[G] How did I land?
[F] I've seen your face before my friend, [C] but I don't know where you know [D] who I am
[A] I was there and I saw what you did.
[D] I saw him in my eyes
[F] You get wild off the ground
No way, baby
[C] It's all been a [D] paradise
[A] Not in feeling
[D] in the [F] air tonight
[G] Hold on
[A] Not been [G] waiting for this moment [F] wrong my life
[G] Hold on
[A] Can you [D] feel it coming in the [F] air tonight?
[A] Hold on
Hold on
[Am] Well, I remember I
[E] Remember the worry worry worry
How [D] could I ever forget?
[F] It's the first time
the last time
[Am] But [A] I know the reason why you keep your silence [D] up
No, you don't fool [F] me
The bird doesn't show but the pain still grows
stranger to you
I [Am] can feel it [G] coming in the [F] air tonight
[G] Hold on
[Am] I'm waiting for this moment
wrong my life
[G] Hold on
[Am] Can you [G] feel it coming in the [F] air tonight?
[G] Hold on
[Am] Not been waiting [G] for this moment [F] wrong my life
[G] Hold on
[Am] I can feel it in the air [F] tonight
Hold [G] on
[Am] Hold on
Not been [G] waiting for this moment [F] wrong my life
[G] Hold on
[Am] I can feel [G] it in the air tonight [F] Hold on
Hold on
Not [G] been waiting for this moment [F] wrong my life [G] Hold on
[E] I can [D] feel it coming in the [E] air tonight
[D] Hold on
[E] Not been [G] waiting for this moment [E] wrong my life
Hold on
[A] Hold on
[E] [Am] In the air tonight so I [Bb] kind of made that my own a little bit
