Hey guys, Perry Marty here, Easy Guitar Tunes.
I got another one of my favorite Canadian band songs by Blue Rodeo.
It's called Hasn't Hit Me Yet.
Real fun song to play.
It's also a real popular song and one of my favorites.
It's a it's I think it's it's how many chords?
It's got five chords in it.
Sorry about that.
It's got five chords in it
and it's capoed off in the second fret.
It's the way they play.
It's actually the way I play as well.
So anyway the chords are
What's the best way to do it?
I guess it [F#m] would be E minor.
[A] G
[E] D
[B] A
I use two fingers for A, but it's actually three strings.
I'm just able to press three down with two fingers [D] and then there's a C
as [G] well.
So [F#m] again, they're E minor
[A]
G
[E]
D
[B] A
[D] and C
I also suspend the [N] D the kind of the way they do in [E] there.
So it would be something like
And every now [F#m] and then you'll see
[A] Kind of makes it sound better in the song and all suspend really means is lifting a finger
[F#m] and then going back in.
[B] Sounds like a hammer [F#m] on.
[E] So anyway Blue Rodeo Hasn't Hit Me Yet.
Let's give it a go.
[F#m] [D]
[E]
[F#m] [D]
[A]
Say that [E] you're leaving
Well that [F#m] comes in
No [D] surprise
[A] So I kinda like [E] the feeling
[F#m] Of being left [D] behind
[B]
[A]
This ain't nothing [E] new to me
[F#m] Well, it's just like
Going [D] home
[A]
It's kinda like [E] the old song says
[F#m] That'll leave you feeling
[D] so stoned Oh
[B]
[F#m] Hey, [A]
I can't [E] see you haven't hit [B] me yet
[F#m] I've been [A] through this, cried, [E] and I've kinda lost [B] my head
[F#m] I stayed [A]
dreams, bitch, [E] before this [B]
streetlight
[F#m] I'm watching [A]
snow fall on [E] this [B]
cold December [E] night
I [F#m] [D]
[E]
[F#m] [D]
[A] never thought this [E] could happen
But [F#m] somehow
Your [D] feelings gone
[A]
You got sick [E] of the pattern
[F#m] And I got lost [D] in this soul
[C#m] [B]
[F#m] [A] Hey, I can't [E] see you haven't hit [B]
me yet
[F#m] I've been [A] through this, cried, [E] and I've kinda lost [B] my head
[F#m] I stayed [A]
dreams, bitch, [E] before this [B]
streetlight
[F#m] I'm watching [A]
snow fall on [E] this [B] cold December [E] night
[F#m] [D]
[E]
[F#m] [D]
[F#m] [A] Hey, I can't [E] see you haven't hit [B] me yet
[F#m] I've been [A] through this, cried, and [E] I've kinda lost [B] my head
[F#m] I stayed [A]
dreams, bitch, [E] before this [B]
streetlight
[F#m] I'm watching [A] snow fall on this [E] cold December [B]
night
[F#m] [A] Out in the middle of Lake [E] [B]
Ontario
[F#m]
[A] Same snow's falling [F#m]
on the deep [A] south water
[F#m]
Of the great [A] dark wonder
[F#m]
Into [E] the wind of [B] my heart
[F#m]
Into [E] the wind of [B] my heart
[C#] Of [E] my heart
[F#m]
[D] [E]
[F#m]
[D] [B]
[E] [Am]
Ah, [B] it's a great tune.
Blue Rodeo.
Hasn't hit me yet.
Hope you guys enjoyed that one.
Any [Fm] questions or comments, let me know.
That one there is a little bit difficult in the fingering, [N] but again, it's a good strumming tune.
You can do that or not do that.
Either way, if you do play along with it, it doesn't [G#m] take you long to pick it up.
And again, if you have any questions, let me know.
Blue Rodeo hasn't hit me yet.
