Hey guys, my name is Alec Lehrman and I'm here with a fellow guitarist and friend Jake [A] Ischler.
[C] He's going to be showing you some little guitar licks and tricks.
Without further ado, Jake.
[A]
[F] [A]
[B] [A] [Bm] [A]
[B] [Am]
[A]
[E] [A]
[E]
[F#m] [A]
[C#m]
[E] [F#m] [A]
[E]
[F#m] [A]
[F#]
[A]
[F#]
[A]
[F#]
[A]
[D]
[E] You can kind [Em] of play around with it rhythmically.
You [D] don't want to get, when you're on the four
in this kind of style, you don't want to go too much outside the key per se.
Or you [B] can do it like kind of, or kind [N] of more straight, more muted.
[E] [D]
[A]
[E]
[D]
[A]
[E]
[D]
[E] [A]
[F#] [A]
[Bm] [A]
[Bm] [A] [D]
[A]
[B]
[A]
So basically what you're doing is taking the A [Bm] triad.
[A] I kind of call this little triad, like gospel triads.
[Bm] [A]
So just all these inversions
to [Bm] the two chord, two triad, [A]
to the [Bm] one, [A] two, one.
[D]
Kind of hammering on to the four, [A]
to the [Bm] one, to the two, [A] to the one again essentially.
[B] [A]
[D] [B]
[A] You do all that stuff on the same,
[D#] [A] same, just all over the one chord essentially.
But you could do them over any chord, it just
[G] kind of gives a different flavor depending on the context or what beat you're starting on or
anything.
So just kind of playing around with it and getting your own feel.
That's how you make it
yours essentially.
[A]
Another [C#] thing I like to do [F#]
is, [A]
[Em] [C#]
[E]
[A] [D] [A]
[Em] [B] [C]
[A]
[E]
[A] [Em] yeah so [C#m] [A] [C#] basically, [E] so this is like the fifth and
like the one.
[C#m] [B]
[G#] [E]
So that's, [F#] yeah, [A]
[E] [F#] [B]
[A#] [B]
[A] [F#m] [E]
[C#] [F#]
[C#] [Em]
I'm doing all [G#m] down strokes [C#] here.
[F#]
[F#m] [G#m]
[Em] So I'm not, [G] I'm not like,
[B] [G#]
[D#] it's not as, well it's not as precise doing up, doing kind of [A] alternate.
[Em] I can't do that.
[C#]
[C] [E]
But it's not bad.
[F#]
[A] So
