Hey, so this scale is one of the coolest
In my opinion from all the Ethiopian ones.
It's called Ametab and
[N] I've been taught that it's you basically play it over the fifth degree of the tazetta minor if you guys remember that the minor was
basically if we [C] were in C It's
[Eb] [B]
[Gm] [Eb] [N] G would be the fifth of C and we'll start on the sub on G and basically play the same scale
Just starting from [G] G, which means G
[Bb] [C] [G] [Cm]
Okay, it's a nice little sound
[Ab] [D]
[E] [C] [Ab]
[C] [G] You can also [E] play it starting on C.
It's basically kind of a Lydian thing if you think about it, you know
[G]
So we can start it from [Cm] C and it's gonna be C
[Gb]
[B] [C] [Eb] [Db]
[C] [F] [Db]
[F] And the nice [Gb] thing about it is the way they play it over a minor chord [Em]
and we'll start the scale from B
[C]
[Bb] [Eb] It's a [Em] nice little sound
[C] [Em]
