Hey everybody, this is Anthony from Stevie Snacks here, and what you're about to watch is a 60 bar slow blues solo
That's meant to be used as kind of a trainer to go with my five boxes essential licks lesson series that I put out in October
there have been so many people who have
Given me great feedback on that series and so many people have bought it
and this is just my way of saying thanks for all of your support and
I really hope that a tool like this will really help you to apply
What I taught in that series to a more real-world situation of playing in a slow blues song
Early in 2008 I did a series of lessons called the five essential blues boxes for guitar now that was a pretty much conceptual
Series of lessons that taught a concept that I've used for years about five
Shapes on the fretboard that are loosely based on blues scales, but not really in October
I put out a series of lessons called the five boxes essential licks and in this series
I taught over a hundred and fifty small and medium sized licks
but one of the things that I heard after I put out that series of lessons is that
it can be difficult to take the licks taught you know as just a huge collection of licks and
Figure out how to piece them put them together to form longer solos
so like I said this is
To be used as kind of a companion with the essential lick series
So for anyone who's purchased that series you already have tabs for all of those licks you always you already have video
Explaining how to play each of those licks
so what this video and the accompanying mp3s will allow you to do is to take what you already learned in that series and
Show you how
You can put those licks together to form a fairly long slow blues solo
So alright, let's get right to it and as you watch the solo keep your eye on the upper right hand corner because it will show you
Which lick is being played at which time?
What box it's in what category and then which lick number it is so I hope you enjoy it
