In today's lesson we're going to learn two short, but sweet blues licks that work well over a slower blues like this

[C#] _ _ All right, so let's take a closer look at the fretboard to see how we play these
_ [G] so first of all we're going to play a blues rhythm [F#] for one bar like [E] this and _ _ _ _
_ _ [E] _ _ _ [N] Then the first lick will come in this way
I'll first start with a blues [E] rhythm and then play the lick
_ _ 1, 2, 3
_ [Em] _
_ [G] _ _ _ _ [E] _ _ _
[C#] Okay, _ so starting here _
_ _ on the E string going to the B string and _
_ _ _ [B] _ _ Then we're doing five notes that are quite fast in succession
_ _ _ _ [C#] And what I'm doing there is I'm starting with the middle finger on the third fret on the G string sliding [B] up
