Hey guys HyperLife here back with another tutorial this time I'm going to take you through
Gravity by Eden on request.
Now although this sheet looks a little complicated it's actually
quite simple all you need to learn are five chords B A G E and F sharp.
Now if you haven't
seen any of these tutorials before the way this works is that each letter represents
a note, the line of letters represents a chord and the arrow in between represents the direction
you head in between the chords.
Now the way that the song starts is with these five chords.
So the first one B F sharp B and D then you travel down A E A C [A] sharp then G D G B [G]
down
to E B E G and B [Em]
and [F#] during the bridge you play F sharp C sharp F sharp and A [G] and back
to G D G B.
[Bm] So the way that the song starts.
I wanted you to be the last thing on [A] my mind I [G]
wanted you to be the reason [C] I close [Em] my eyes
but I can't [A] sleep and oh god I wanted to be your high but [G] everything I said went unheard
and everything you saw with eyes [Bm] straight blur became my downfall.
Now you can add in that A F sharp just after that [E] bridge just to make it sound quite similar to the song.
Now once you learn those five chords they essentially repeat themselves in different order later on.
Now when you come to the section where he says
you said I drink and I smoke and I talk too much you play the G B and A three [G] times more or less but it's open to interpretation because either way sounds good.
G B and A and then you can play this section E and F sharp also or you can just stick with G B and A whatever is simplest for you.
But the way that that section goes.
That's the chord that you're starting on which is the third chord that you learned there G D G B and D.
But you say that I drink and I smoke and I talk too [E] much but I know you lie when you [A] say you just gotta go and save yourself.
Those are the three chords that you need and you can repeat those and stick with that for the next section of the lyrics.
So hear me out.
You know everybody talks [Bm] girl and it means nothing to you let it but if you keep second guessing [E] then there's only gonna be one.
And when [G] you get to here you can either play one and or you can [A] say if you [Bm] keep second guessing then there's only gonna be one [Em] and you [E] can leave if you really [G] want to.
Or you can just stick with you can leave if [D] you really [Bm] want to.
And that's all you would need to know.
Now the extra section where he comes in and it's mainly instrumental.
[A] [E]
[G]
[Em] [F#m]
[D] You're just playing any any order of these chords that you would like but with D and [E] F sharp.
And that's all essentially all you need to know.
And then once you've played that section that then goes back to here starting with B F sharp B and D.
And that's essentially all you would need to know.
If there's anything else I can help you out with let me know down in the comments below.
I will be making a cover of the song at some point in the future using my interpretation of the chords.
But for now I'll comment the link down below to the actual Eden song and there are various different online lyric websites that you can use that give you the lyrics with each of these chords and where they need to come.
So I hope that helps.
If you like that please like the video subscribe and we'll see you in the next one.
Thanks guys.
