Jon Bellion - Human - Piano Tutorial chords
Start Jamming...
Cuz I [Gb] got GPS [Ebm] on my phone [Db] I know
[Abm] And I [Gb] can follow it to [Ebm] get home.
[Db] I know
[Abm]
My [Eb] location's never [Ebm] unknown I [Db] know
[Abm] Tell [Gb] me why I [Ebm] still feel lost tell [Db] me why I still feel
Hey
[Ebm] [Gb] [Eb]
[Ebm]
[Db]
guys, how's it going?
We've had a lot of requests to do human by John Bellion
Just because he recently put out a beautiful acoustic version of this on the piano and a lot of people have been wanting to
Know how to replicate that
I'm gonna teach you guys the basic chords that you're gonna need to know
That's what the first kind of five minutes of the video was going to be
If you've worked those out already yourself
But you just want to know how to add a couple of elaborate sections and just skip on to the end of the video
But for now, we're gonna take it through both sections of the video and you guys should hopefully be able to play it
[Gb] So it's essentially split into two sections
the intro which
Is exactly how John played it at the start
[B] That's your first chord.
Now if you haven't seen
One of these tutorial videos before the way it works is along the bottom.
This is your right hand chord and
On the top.
This is the left hand note.
So
Section one is labeled here this chord this chord this chord and
Between each chord is an arrow telling you the direction that you need to go between those chords
Now I'll explain this bit because it's slightly more complicated than that, but don't be afraid of all of these sharps and whatnot
It's actually quite simple once you get down to it
So, yeah the
the first chord over here on the right is B F sharp B D sharp and
That's essentially all you need to know for the first chord
Then you travel [Db] down and you [Gb] travel up
Now [B] you play this section twice
Okay I always
Fear that [Db] I'm not [Gb] living right
And then again, [B] so I feel guilty [Db] when I go [Gb] to church
Now this time round it's slightly different [B] you go back to that first chord
But then you travel up
[Eb] [B]
the pastor
Tells me that I'm [Ebm] safe.
I'm fine
So, please [B] explain
So you essentially go up those three chords and then you go straight back down and the pastor tells [Db] me that I'm safe [Ebm] I'm fine
So [Eb] please [B] explain to me [Eb] why my [Db] chest [Gb] still hurts
And that's all you need to know for the first section and it repeats that for each verse
Starting off with this play it twice then go back to that same note up and then down and that's all you need to know
And in between those chords you're traveling up or down depending on where the arrow says
Now the second section of the song where things get an awful lot more pretty
All you're doing is traveling down between these chords as I played at the [Abm] start if [Eb] I got [Ebm] GPS on my phone
[Db] and I
Then [Abm] back up I [Gb] can follow it [Ebm] to get home [Db]
and I
[Abm] If my [Gb] location's never [Ebm] unknown
[Db] I'm not
[Abm] Tell [Gb] me why I still [Ebm] feel lost
[Db] Tell me why I still feel now you can play that chord [Ab] or those group of [Abm] chords any way you'd like
You can literally just play the chord.
I [Gb] got GPS on my phone
[Db] I'm not to keep things super simple and just sing along to it or [Abm] you can
[Gb] [Ebm]
[Db] add things like that if you'd like
Now that you've got those two sections you simply transfer between them depending on which verse or chorus you're singing
[Abm] Now if you want to make it sound slightly better any of those notes within that chord
Will sound okay, but I'm gonna show you what I played at the start this
[Db]
[Gb] Now you can make up something very similar to that using those notes within the chord, but this is something that I've played [Db] with
[Gb] Sounds quite nice and you [Ebm] do exactly the same when you go down
[Eb]
[Db] I'll do that again
[Ebm] [Gb]
Now if you haven't noticed because there are all of these sharps and flats
Playing [Ab] the black notes of the keys usually ends up working out quite well
So if you're playing any [Abm] particular chord
[Ebm] The black notes complement [Ab] it quite nicely
[Abm] That doesn't mean go mental and play loads and loads of black notes
But if you want to if you want to articulate and make it sound slightly prettier
[Eb] Just add in a few black notes and [Gb] see what you can come up with
[Eb]
[Gb] [Ebm]
[Eb] [Gb]
And then go back [B] to
[Db]
[Gb] [B]
[Db] [Gb]
Okay
And that's essentially all you need to know now if there's anything else that I can let you guys know that will help you out
With learning the song or anything.
You're not so sure about just comment down below
Don't forget to subscribe and I'm looking forward to John dropping his new album
And I hope you all are too [Eb] and we should hopefully be releasing tutorials for as many songs in that album as we can
So yeah, thanks for watching guys.
Hope this helped and I hope you get on okay
So yeah, thanks again.
See you in the next video
[Bbm] All we do is lie
[Gb] Do is all we do is lie [Bbm] all we do is feel
[Eb] [Gb] All we do is all we do is feel the thing I've [Bbm] been
Upside [Fm] [Ab] down.
I don't
