[E] Hello everybody.
Well, this October marks one year that my studio has been here at the
Art Center in downtown Wyandotte.
We recently rededicated it as the James DeSena Center
for Cultural Studies, and we've got quite a lot of activities going on here.
So many
so that I've hardly been able to record any.
We have a lot of noise in certain areas,
and it's been hard for me to get my lessons done.
So a lot of these lessons that I'm going
to be putting out now are overdue.
I've got a few days of quiet before the show starts
up again, so I'm going to be doing a few more recordings.
As some of you know, my elbow
was out of commission for quite some time.
I was having a lot of problems with tendonitis.
Pop eye elbow, it expanded to several times its normal size.
So I was having a lot of
trouble playing.
I canceled my UK workshops for several reasons.
I was bringing my wife
with me, and I thank you for all your donations, folks, but I'm going to have to wait [Eb] till
spring because she broke her ankle.
And not to mention the fact several people had had
problems with employment, and they had canceled their spots for the workshop.
And I had very
limited funds to travel with.
That makes a difference.
So airfare had gone quite high
due to gas prices and almost $300 to get more.
So between that and a few cancellations I
had, it just made it impossible.
So we're going to try again in the spring.
I'll keep
everybody posted when I get some dates.
If you would like to see me somewhere near your
hometown, just go ahead and let me know a venue, and we'll try to get it organized.
In the meantime, I'm going to be doing some banjo lessons here.
I haven't been doing those
lately.
And I've got some new guitar videos coming out.
We are almost done editing the
piccolo guitar building videos.
There were so many of them, over 40 so far, 43.
And we've
got about 5 more.
And we're also going to be doing a new project.
Gary and I right now
are making a solid body guitar that you're going to want to see.
I'm going to be using
that in a lot of recordings.
And doing some blues lessons as well.
But we're going to
be finishing off Clinch Mountain Backstep and also this new one here.
I have over 3.5
million video views right now.
And it becomes hard for me to keep up with all the emails.
So if you don't get a response from me, just understand it's not that I'm ignoring you.
I've been overwhelmed that week.
And some weeks are easier than others.
So hopefully
we'll get some good weeks ahead and I'll be able to do more work.
I'm looking forward
to finishing off these banjo videos though.
And I'll also
